The VCL NA Split 2 is getting closer and closer, and several teams have made different changes to improve their results and stay in the race to qualify for the VCT Ascension League. One of the teams that have received the most attention in recent weeks is Disguised, the team of the popular content creator Disguised Toast.

Disguised announced in the last few hours that Michael “nerve” Yerrow will be the fifth player in their lineup for Split 2 of the VCL NA. With this, the rumors about which would be the fifth player of this lineup and in which the name of Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip sounded strongly.

Disguised announces the fifth player of its VALORANT lineup

Disguised has announced that the player who will complete the VALORANT lineup for Split 2 will be “nerve,” a former Soniqs player, and, according to what the team itself has published, he did some tests with Cloud9.

As we can see and as it has been characterized since it began its foray into esports with a VALORANT team, Disguised Toast gives a somewhat humorous message where he says that his strategy is to take all the players that Cloud9 does not want.

This signing completes the team’s lineup after Drake “Exalt” Branly and Damion “XXiF” Cook left the team recently. In addition, nerve joins Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker as the star signing for Split 2.

About nerve

While nerve may not yet know what it’s like to play a game in VALORANT’s top tier or even in the Challengers scene, he comes with a great track record in the official matches he has played.

Playing for Soniqs, nerve came very close to qualifying for the VCL NA 2023. However, they lost to OREsports by 2-1 in the match that was awarded the last place in the Challengers League. After this loss, Soniqs decided to disband their VALORANT lineup, and all their players were spread across several Tier 3 teams. Nerve set their course for a team called 99 Strength.

During his few month’s internships with this team, nerve was one of the cornerstones in winning two Mystic Singularity Series events and took second place in the Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet.

Nerve has been known for being a very flexible player on the server. Also, his favorite agent so far is Killjoy. His arrival to Disguised shouldn’t be a problem regarding roles, as it’s no secret that the lineup didn’t have a born sentinel.

Moreover, Killjoy is one of the most powerful agents in the current VALORANT meta, so this move makes a lot of sense. Finally, the player will have to prove himself in Split 2, but, being a young and inexperienced player, he may not feel so much pressure, and thus he will be able to fit much better into the team.
