Disguised GC marks a milestone in its first official game

After much buzz about Disguised Toast signing this lineup of streamers to compete in VALORANT Game Changers, the all-female Disguised GC team broke a new record in the NA Game Changers scene.

While Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang may not be the first content creator to decide to venture into the esports scene with his team, right now, he may be one of the most important.

Earlier this year, he created Disguised, a male lineup that has been doing battle in the VALORANT Challengers scene in NA. Just a few days ago, he announced the signing of five girls to his team for Game Changers, and in their first match, they already made history.

Disguised GC gets 100K viewers in its first series

The anticipation around the popular content creator’s all-female team, Disguised Toast, reached such a point that they set a record of 100K viewers on the Game Changers scene. This record was set by Disguised GC in their match against SHIFT X in the open qualifiers for the VCT GC.

While it is true that the announcement of the Disguised women’s team was liked by many people but rejected by others, the fact remains that they have made history in their first appearance. While the team lost to Evil Geniuses in their second match, they beat SHIFT X with no less than 100,000 viewers watching the girls on all the broadcast channels.

There is no doubt that this clearly shows that the content creator was right when he mentioned that this team would be able to attract viewers.

The sum viewership on the broadcasts was shocking

For a Game Changers qualifying tournament, there is no doubt that this is a huge win for Disguised GC and the female esports community.

This 100K we’re talking about was a product of three streaming channels. First, the team owner’s channel, Disguised Toast, reached over 62,000 viewers at some point in the series; this, as the content creator mentioned in his Tweet, is close to the figure for the GC grand final in 2022.

On the other hand, VALORANT Americas’ official channel reached over 27,000 viewers, while Valkyrae’s YouTube channel had as many as 18,000 viewers at some point.

But why are the Disguised GC girls so popular?

Undoubtedly, this lineup is so popular that both Kaede “Kyedae” Alicia Shymko and Jodi “QuarterJade” Lee have 2.1 and 1.1 million followers on Twitch, respectively.

On the other hand, there is no doubt that Disguised Toast himself is causing this. In addition to being one of the most popular content creators out there, his foray with the men’s roster in early January helped him pick up a lot of VALORANT fans.
