The dates for the upcoming $3,400,000 global CS:GO tournament series Champion of Champions Tour have been revealed! The competition will run between August 2022 and January 2024, featuring seven regions in a unified format across three stages of the Tour.

Announced earlier in May, the Champion of Champions Tour is a new global CS:GO competition jointly organised by GRID Esports along with FACEIT, Eden Esports, Relog Media, Black Molly Entertainment, Fantasy Expo, and regional partners. This includes Fragster, which will be helping operate CCT tournaments in the Western European region.

According to GRID Esports, the competition aims to “consolidate regional partners and industry leaders into one robust tournament circuit” in order to “build into the ecosystem of professional Counter-Strike across multiple tiers, providing an opportunity for emerging, regional esports talent to prove themselves and shine”.

CCT format

Fabian Logemann, Head of Tournament Services at GRID Esports, commented:

“The CCT was created to enrich the CS:GO ecosystem and create opportunities for emerging talent, tournament organizers and brands. At the heart of the Tour are the individual regions, which are operated by our regional partners and offer an exciting experience for fans, players and teams alike. We look forward to seeing all of the CCT participants compete across regions and levels together.”

Online Series Schedule

The 18-month Tour will feature three stages — Online, Studio and Arena. The competition will start with the Online Series, which will consist of regional open qualifiers, play-ins, group stage, and playoffs, and will be followed by Studio and Arena (LAN) stages.
