CDL Major I would be played in Atlanta

According to different sources recently, the Call of Duty League plans to organize and hold the first Major of the 2023/24 season in Atlanta, the home of one of the most dominant teams in the CoD competitive scene, the Atlanta FaZe.

While it is true that these are just rumors and that the CDL has not yet revealed its official road map, this makes a lot of sense, as there is no doubt about the popularity and high level that Atlanta FaZe has. On the other hand, there is also the fact that we still don’t know the lineup of all the CDL teams, as there are still some that are making moves. However, it seems the league already has plans for the start of next season.

In this offseason of the CDL, we have seen how several teams have put together really scary lineups, such as Atlanta FaZe, NY Subliners, and OpTic Texas. We have also seen the arrival of the Miami Heretics (former Florida Mutineers) and, more recently, the Carolina Royal Ravens (former London Royal Ravens).

The CDL would hold the first Major of the 2023/24 in Atlanta.

According to different reports by Dexerto, the CDL has plans for DreamHack to host Major I of the 2023/24 season in Atlanta.

Right now, there is no information regarding the official start of the 2023/24 Call of Duty League season, and we still don’t even know how many Majors there will be, let alone who the venues will be. However, there is a lot of speculation about it on social networks.

Remember that the CDL offseason is long since the CDL Champions 2023 was played in June, so teams have over 5 months to prepare for the next season. In addition, there is a lot of talk that the new season may arrive a few weeks after the release of Modern Warfare 3. However, the CDL has not yet made any official announcement regarding this.

Some sources indicate that the Call of Duty League wants to take advantage of DreamHack Atlanta to organize the Major I of the 2023/24 CDL season. We say this because it is confirmed that the COD Mobile World Championships 2023 will be played in this event from December 15 to 17.

Same dates as Major I in the previous season

Similarly, if we analyze the dates, we can note that it would be approximately on the same dates that Major I of the previous season of the CDL was played.

On the other hand, if the format continues in the same way, the teams must play the online qualifiers two weeks before the Major; that is to say, they would start at the beginning of December.

Similarly, the DreamHack Atlanta will be from December 15-17, meaning the CDL could return to its old format where the Major was played only on the weekend. However, there is also the possibility that the tournament will start on December 14.

Finally, all this is speculation, as the CDL has not confirmed anything. However, everything seems to indicate that the teams are starting to warm up their engines to give us an intense and exciting 2023/24 season.
