The third season of ESL Impact, the women’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league sponsored and organized by ESL, kicks off today, Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

The 28 teams that qualified through the different online qualifiers in North America, South America, and Europe will meet to play for the seven slots awarded in the respective regions for the LAN event in Dallas, Texas, in June.

There is no doubt that this season is again looking to be a success for ESL Impact, and it continues to be a really good initiative by including the great potential women’s CS:GO has worldwide.

Start date and format

As we mentioned, the ESL Impact Season 3 starts today, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, and will run until April 16, 2023. In this more than a month of intense competition, the women’s teams will fight in each group to win direct tickets to the final event in June in Dallas, Texas.

The European Zone will use a best-of-three (BO3) format, with teams competing against each other within their respective groups. The winner of each group will receive a direct ticket to the Dallas finals. The runners-up in each group will have to compete for third place in the LAN in June while playing for their lives in the Play-In phase.

In the Americas, the group stage schedule will be unusual because each team will play everyone else twice. However, each Americas region’s NA and SA teams will compete for two playoff spots. This will be played in a single-game playoff between the top two teams in each group.

This indicates that the top two teams from each region will advance to the finals in Dallas.
