The MX9 submachine gun is a 9mm conversion of the ubiquitous Steyr AUG, known in the game as the STB 556.
Despite its low mag count, the MX9 is a decent enough choice for shooters wanting a weapon chambered in subsonic 9mm ammunition, which can have better stopping power.
While it is currently outside of the absolute meta range, the MX9 can be great for close quarters in the hands of a skilled soldier. We tested it out with new attachments being used in current play and found this build to work!
REAR GRIP: Stip-40 Grip (unlocked at level 13)
This rear grip allows for better ADS and sprint-to-fire speeds, allowing you to take advantage of the MX9’s mobility.
MUZZLE: Sonic Suppressor (unlocked by leveling up the Holger 556 to Level 16)
One of the more popular suppressor choices in the game, the Sonic Suppressor balances bullet velocity with a damage range buff This allows you to have quieter shots with accuracy and ease of use.
OPTIC: Cronen INTLAS MSP-12 (unlocked at the Arsenal Store)
This multi-purpose blue dot sight helps in ensuring good aiming stability, faster response times, and better sprint-to-fire speeds while having both a clear sight picture and an integrated laser attachment for better aiming.
MAGAZINE: 32 Round Mag (unlocked at Level 2)
The only magazine attachment available, the 32 round mag helps in adding more rounds for the already-dismal 25-round mag size for the MX9.
STOCK: Bruen STB 556 Stock
This rear grip allows for better gun kick control, recoil control, and hipfire spreads, allowing you to use the MX9 for both ADS and hipfire engagements.
OPTIONAL REPLACEMENTS:
LASER: VLK LZR 7mw (unlocked by leveling the STB 556 to level 5)
The VLK LZR 7mw ensures that your MX9 can have a faster ADS and sprint to fire speed while also providing much-needed aiming stability.
LASER: Point G3P-04 (unlocked by leveling up the Expedite 12 shotgun to Level 11)
The Point G3P-04 is a green hipfire-centered laser which can also help reduce the overall sprint to fire time of your MX9. This allows your build to be used effectively whenever you’re aiming down sights or firing from the hip at close quarters.
These attachments can help you bring the MX9 to bear in any combat situation, and help you gain an edge with a subsonic-powered weapon!
