The days are passing, and more and more players, professional or not, are eager to play the beta or the official Counter-Strike 2 game. Moreover, with the new features that have been shown through updates in the last few days and the fact that you can now play Mirage instead of Dust 2, the hype has increased even more.

However, this is not the case for one of the most prominent, popular, and experienced players in the CS:GO scene, Heroic’s IGL, Casper “cadiaN” Møller. In an interview last June 11, the player stressed that he does not want to focus on CS2 until it launches worldwide in the summer of 2023.

CadiaN says he doesn’t want to focus on CS2 until its launch

Following Heroic’s victory in the BLAST Premier Spring Final, cadiaN was interviewed by HLTV last June 11, and when asked about his plans with CS2, he replied: “I don’t know.”

Heroic’s IGL also said that it is obvious that when the game is released, he will play it tirelessly to master it as fast as possible. However, the experienced Danish player also mentioned that, for now, he would concentrate on CS:GO, as it is the game that is currently being played in the professional scene.

As all of us CS:GO lovers know, the CS2 closed beta has been available to several players selected by Valve since last March 22, 2023. However, three months later, Valve releases updates almost daily, telling us that everything is on the right track.

One of the last updates made to the CS2 beta was last June 6, when Valve updated the game’s loadout system and replaced Dust 2 with Mirage as the only playable map.

Not everyone is happy with CS2

While it is true that the vast majority of casual gamers check every day if Valve gave them access to the CS2 closed beta, and the anticipation is growing, not everyone is happy with the game. Last June 8, one of the former CS:GO players and current commentator, analyst, and streamer, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche, criticized the game.

According to Pimp, when he plays CS2, he feels slow, clumsy, and with very slow movements that make him think he is 130kg heavy.

Finally, speaking of cadiaN, it is very likely that he will not share much content regarding CS2 until its release. Also, the player said he was completely focused on CS:GO as long as Global Offensive tournaments were still being organized.
