Valorant: DSG JayH Gets “Falsely” Accused For Match-Fixing

DisguisedToast and his esports organization, Disguised, cannot get a break. A member of the Valorant team, Wong “JayH” Heng, was handed a provisional suspension from VCT due to match-fixing suspicions.

VCT MY/SG Releases An Official Statement

At noon on April 30, the official Valorant Challengers Malaysia and Singapore Twitter account dropped a shocking post surrounding Disguised’s JayH.

In the announcement, the VCT MY/SG team claimed a compliance review revealed that JayH is suspected of participating in match-fixing activities, meaning he would place bets on matches he was playing to achieve favorable results.

These “match-fixing allegations” happened before the Singaporean was signed to the Disguised roster. It was unclear when the incident in question happened, but JayH previously played for BearClaw Gaming, BLEED Esports, and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

As a result, the league has placed a provisional suspension on JayH from participating in every Riot Games esports event, including official and third-party tournaments. This suspension is effective immediately until further notice and is waiting for further review and adjudication.

This announcement came as a shock, mainly because JayH was not notified of the situation. The victim was not informed about any ongoing investigation, and the VCT team just announced the suspension without any confirmation or defense.

JayH Responds

Around ten minutes after the news, JayH immediately responded to these allegations.

In a Twitter post, JayH made it clear that he never participated in any match-fixing activities, and he is ready to contact the VCT team to clear things up.

Agreeably, JayH is also disappointed that he had no idea an investigation was going on, and without his response, the announcement was already made public.

He claimed these allegations could severely affect the reputation he’d built up, especially when no investigation was done beforehand.

Community Reactions

The community is heavily backing up JayH in the situation and is baffled that Riot Games would do such a thing.

“Why wasn’t the player informed about this before releasing an official statement like this?”

“Very unprofessional by Riot; whether he is guilty or not, not notifying the player of an ongoing investigation is unacceptable. The people who made this decision should be held accountable.”

The remaining comments on the VCT team’s posts were filled with angered fans who could not believe how lousy this accusation process was.

What Happens Next?

As of now, the story is still developing. However, JayH has informed that the VCT team has reached out to him, and both parties will begin communicating about the issue.

He stands by his statement that he has never match-fixed and will do his best to comply with the investigations done by the VCT team.

DisguisedToast Cannot Catch A Break

Frankly speaking, popular streamer DisguisedToast is not having a great time owning the Disguised organization.

Despite paying salaries to his players, the Disguised Valorant roster could not make it out of the MY/SG Split, losing to unsponsored teams with no financial support.

Just days ago, scrim footage was leaked by former Disguised player Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar showcasing Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker tilting and being toxic in a practice match.

Now, another issue arises, where his player is accused of throwing matches for money. Hopefully, the situation is resolved shortly.
