BLAST Premier: Spring Final was Heroic’s chance to shine again. The Danish team hadn’t won anything since BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022. In 2023, they played in two Grand Finals and finished in the top four two more times. But victory always eluded them.

Now, Casper “cadiaN” Moller can rejoice again, knowing that he led his team to a great success. BLAST Premier: Spring Final was a serious S-tier tournament that featured half a dozen great teams, including the winner of the recent BLAST.tv Paris Major, Team Vitality.

To win under such conditions is an achievement as great as any other. And what gives Heroic’s victory even more relevance is the fact that they had to defeat Vitality in the Grand Final. This match could have easily been the Grand Final of the Paris Major.

So in a sense, Heroic demonstrated that they could have been the Major winners under more fortunate circumstances.

Heroic’s BLAST Premier: Spring Final run

Heroic started the tournament with a victory against Complexity that took very little effort to achieve: 16-7 on Inferno and 16-6 on Nuke. From Martin “stavn” Lund, who usually carries his team, to Rasmus “sjuush” Beck, everyone had an excellent performance on Heroic’s side.

The match against FaZe Clan was significantly harder but it still ended with a win for the Danes: 19-16 on Nuke and 16-10 on Inferno. Once again, stavn was the man of the match.

Thanks to this 2 W – 0 L record, Heroic, advanced to the semifinals, where they had to play Imperial Esports. Despite the fact that Imperial are nowhere near Heroic in the rankings table, the Brazilians put on a great fight and nearly won the match. The scores were 16-13 on Overpass, 11-16 on Inferno, and 19-17 on Nuke.

On the third map, Heroic had an 11-4 advantage but had serious issues on the T-side.

In the Grand Final against Vitality, cadiaN’s team started with a win on Vertigo (9-16), a map that was picked by the French side. Vitality had a 70% win rate on this map ahead of the confrontation but the Danes still won somehow.

The second map went poorly for Heroic, who lost the CT-side quite badly: 3-8. The final score here was 10-16.

The fate of the match was decided on Inferno, where the two teams were very close to each other after the first half. But on the T-side, Heroic crushed Vitality. The final score was 16-9.
