The soap opera that has been swirling around Heroic in recent weeks continues. After an unexpected turn of events, we have Casper “cadiaN” Møller returning to the team’s starting lineup as a stand-in.

While many might speculate about this move, there is no doubt that it may come as something unexpected since, the organization decided to kick him off the team in early October. However, after the latest official statement from the team regarding the situation of Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard and Martin “stavn” Lund, all indications are that the team may have made the wrong decision.

Likewise, cadiaN will not be permanent with Heroic, as he will only play with the team in the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2023, where teams fight for a $425,000 prize pool.

Heroic announces cadiaN’s return as stand-in for the Fall Finals 2023

Through an emotional video on its Twitter/X account, Heroic announced the return of its former AWPer and IGL, cadiaN, as a stand-in for the Fall Finals 2023.

Similarly, as mentioned in the post, this will be a “Last Dance” of cadiaN with Heroic at the Fall Finals 2023, played in November Copenhagen, Denmark. On the other hand, it is uncertain what cadiaN’s future will be after this tournament. However, many rumors place him in Team Liquid as a star signing next to Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken.

As we know, Heroic surprised everyone in the Counter-Strike 2 competitive scene when they announced that cadiaN was benched. According to reports, this was after the team failed to display their best level of play in the ESL Pro League S18.

However, the organization revealed a few days ago that stavn and jabbi gave the team an ultimatum, where they had to choose between them or cadiaN.

Heroic and their bad decisions

As we can see, Heroic made the terrible decision to side with stavn and jabbi and took cadiaN out of the lineup. Likewise, the story doesn’t end here, as, a week ago, the team revealed that this pair of players presented their wishes to join Astralis, throwing away the contract renewal “agreement” with Heroic.

Undoubtedly, it is great news for cadiaN and Heroic that the Dane will rejoin the team’s ranks to play in the Fall Finals 2023. However, this also makes us realize that the organization could not convince cadiaN to stay permanently on the team.

On the other hand, it is also unclear what Heroic’s squad will be in the tournament, as, right now, they have Rene “TeSeS” Madsen, Rasmus “sjuush” Beck, and Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen in the lineup. At the same time, they have played with William “sirah” Kjærsgaard and Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard on loan from MOUZ NXT in the current tournaments. With cadiaN back in the squad, the team needs only one alternate for the tournament.

One way or another, Heroic still has time to get this alternate and even convince cadiaN to stay on the team. Recall that the Fall Finals 2023 will be played from November 22-26.
