Stavn and jabbi temporarily removed from Heroic roster

While things were not looking good when we heard about Casper “cadiaN” Møller’s departure from Heroic, things got worse a few hours ago when the organization announced that two of their players would be temporarily removed from the roster.

We are talking about Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, who had some internal problems with the former captain of Heroic and even put an “ultimatum” to the team, putting them to decide between cadiaN and the rest of the roster. This is a hard blow not only for the team’s fans but for the organization because, at the beginning of the CS2 era, no team would like to be facing this kind of problem.

Through an unexpected post on their official Twitter/X account, Heroic announced that stavn and jabbi would be temporarily on the team’s bench.

This decision comes just 21 days after the organization decided to dispense with the services of its AWPer and captain, cadiaN. However, in the statement, we can see that Heroic mentions that this pair of players gave an “ultimatum” to the organization after the ESL Pro League S18 ended,

Likewise, the official statement mentions that Heroic accepted the conditions of these players, as they expected their contracts to be extended with the organization. Let’s remember that jabby and Stavn’s contract at Heroic expires in 10 months.

However, right now, there is nothing concrete with both players and what worries Heroic the most are the rumors about possible signings by Astralis. Similarly, the Danish organization says they are open to offers from other organizations but emphasize that they must “understand the value” of their players. In the same way, they also hope that both players will return to the team as soon as possible.

Finally, the statement notes that when Heroic offered contract extensions to jabbi and stavn, the players reported that they had an “agreement” to continue their careers with Astralis.

What will happen with Heroic?

Right now, no one is sure what will happen with Heroic in the short term, as the team is currently playing with two players on loan from the MOUZ academy in the Roobet Cup 2023.

However, the organization is most likely in contact with stavn and jabbi to try to convince them to renew Heroic. However, if this renewal is not possible, the team will have to negotiate the transfer of this pair of superstars to another team and start navigating the transfer market to put together a solid lineup as soon as possible.
