The first playoffs day of Brazy Party ended with four victories for the teams that were expected to win. In each of the quarterfinal matches, despite the major problems caused by the underdogs, the favorites eventually won.

This means that the semifinals will be very exciting to watch. The two matches are Astralis versus 9INE and OG versus Cloud9. These confrontations could have easily been advancement or even playoffs matches at the Paris Major.

Apeks vs. Astralis: 2-1

Apeks seemed perfectly capable of winning this match against Astralis and the only reason why they didn’t win was Nicolai “device” Reedtz’s phenomenal performance. The Danish superstar ended the match with 88 kills and 62 deaths. On the other team, Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad was the only player with more than 80 kills.

The scores were extremely close on each map: 17-19 on Mirage, 16-12 on Overpass, and 16-19 on Ancient.

Into The Breach vs. 9INE: 1-2

9INE were very close to ending the match after just two maps, but Into The Breach heavily punished them in Ancient’s overtime rounds. The final score on this map was 19-16. However, on the other two maps, 9INE easily won, confirming their excellent result from the Paris Major RMRs: 9-19 on Vertigo and 7-16 on Anubis.

SAW vs. OG: 0-2

SAW looked doomed from the start against OG, but they still managed to cause a few problems. The final scores were 9-16 on Anubis and 13-16 on Ancient. On the second map, OG started with 11 round wins in the first half but then struggled to close the map and suffered 9 defeats on the CT side.

Cloud9 vs. paiN Gaming: 2-0

Cloud9 won the first map (Ancient) against paiN Gaming after a close first half. Their victory was a result of an excellent CT side. From 8-7 on the T side, they won with a score of 16-10.

On the second map, Anubis, paiN started well and won 9 rounds on the T side. But the second half proved to be much harder for them and Cloud9 eventually won again: 16-13.

The best player on the server was Abay “Hobbit” Khassenov, who managed to get 48 kills and a rating 2.0 of 1.44.

It will be interesting to see what C9 can do against OG in the semifinals. The two teams met each other twice in April this year. Each time, Cloud9 won the match decisively.
