1WIN recently announced that they have signed ex-IGL from Natus Vincere, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov. The organization also hired Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov as a coach. The announcement was published on the 1WIN website.

1WIN also recently acquired Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy from Entropiq after parting ways with Aleksandr “glowiing” Matsievich, who is now a free agent and currently looking for a new team. Aleksei “NickelBack” Trofimov will remain with the team, having been signed by 1WIN in January.

Boombl4 finds a new home at 1WIN

There has long been rumor and speculation as to which team Boombl4 would join after he was sacked by Natus Vincere last year. The 24-year-old Russian got into a controversial fight with now-ex-wife Lika, who leaked photos of him using drugs, which he denied with a  negative drug test, as well as nude photos and videos. Not wanting to risk the club’s reputation, Natus Vincere ended the contract with the player. The Ukrainian organization had previously had a problem with Lika repeatedly posting pro-Russian content in relation to the Russia-Ukraine war.

After being kicked out, it was initially quiet about the player. He dabbled in rap music a bit and released a song about his brief marriage, but things have been pretty quiet as far as esports are concerned and no one knew where he was headed next. The player explained that he would prefer to play in a Russian team in order to be able to stay as close as possible to his family and friends.

Now, Boombl4 will continue his career with 1WIN, a Russian team, and hopes to build on his successes from NAVI again.

New 1WIN line-up

While not officially confirmed yet, it looks like Boombl4 won’t be taking on the role of the IGL at 1WIN. However, according to several reports, he has made good use of his free time and is in good shape for his new line-up.

His new teammates will be NickelBack and Forester, both of whom were with Entropiq and have known new coach hooch from that time. O nly the two AWPers Denis “deko” Zhukov and Aleksandr “TRAVIS” Timkiv are left from the former 1WIN CS:GO line-up.

The Russian team started the year on the right foot before all the changes were made and are currently in the quarter-finals of the upper tier of the ESL Challenger League.

Their next ECL game is scheduled for March 7 against Team Endpoint. They will also play the European Regional Major Ranking qualifier for the BLAST.tv Paris Major from February 16 to 19.

The all-Russian line-up of 1WIN now looks like this:

  • Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov
  • Denis “Deko” Zhukov
  • Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy
  • Aleksandr “TRAVIS” Timkiv
  • Aleksei “NickelBack” Trofimov and Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov (Coach)
