Boombl4 officially enters free agency

Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov, the former NaVi IGL and a great friend of s1mple, has severed ties with the organization following the expiration of his contract.

The player revealed in a Twitter post on January 1, 2023, that his contract with the Ukrainian organization, NaVi had ended.

Likewise, the former IGL of the team stated that he is ready for new challenges in his professional career and is looking for a new team and new opportunities.

Personal problems keep Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov away from CS:GO

Boombl4 was benched by his former team, NaVi, on May 28, 2022, after the PGL Major Antwerp.

At the time, the organization reports that Boombl4 was benched for personal situations that could damage the team’s reputation.

Then, in the following weeks, more details were revealed about the situation the 24-year-old Russian player was going through. Everything pointed to the fact that Boombl4 had been recorded using drugs by his ex-wife. Then she increased the controversy by declaring herself in favor of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

However, the Russian player decided to undergo various tests to prove that he was completely clean of drugs and, in turn, declared that his ex-wife was blackmailing him.

All CS:GO fans know perfectly well who Boombl4 is. The IGL helped s1mple and NaVi to win it all in the 2021 season.

Boombl4 and FalleN have been considered the best IGLs worldwide for several seasons. And while the Russian did not stand out with many kills in the games, he had the cold blood to make impressive decisions.

There is no doubt that without Boombl4, NaVi would have had a completely different 2021 season. However, the trust between s1mple, Boombl4 and perfect was spectacular.

During his time as NaVi’s IGL, Boombl4 won many S-Level titles, including the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

As mentioned, NaVi strung many victories in that season, taking home the BLAST Premier: Fall trophy and the BLAST Premier: World Finals, the ESL Pro League S14, and the IEM Cologne 2021. In addition, they also took home the Intel Grand Slam Season 3.

Future of Boombl4

In its official statement, Boombl4 said:

Rumors indicate that Boombl4 is trying to create a new squad of players to play under the BetBoom name, with the names of Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy and Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin being mentioned.

We will likely have good news about Boombl4. An IGL of his quality and experience is appetizing for any top-level team.
