Best CS:GO players of 2022 – broky

Helvijs “Broky” Saykants started his CS:GO career in 2019 and competed for Epsilon Esports for just seven months before getting signed by FaZe Clan, where he has continued to play to this day.

In 2022, under the leadership of Finn “karrigan” Andersen, the team’s results exploded and broky was instrumental in making it happen.

Like other great AWPers, broky became famous very early in his career. By the time he was 18-19, he was already well-known for his prowess and everyone knew that sooner or later, he will start winning important trophies.

His first important career win came in 2019, when he was already playing for FaZe. The tournament was BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen. Then followed two difficult years in which his team struggled to find success. But slowly and surely, FaZe Clan built a formidable roster and signed some of the most talented players in the world.

Broky’s 2022 season in CS:GO

The key to broky’s success is how the other members of FaZe play around him. For a long time, he didn’t receive enough assistance from them. But at the start of 2022, FaZe Clan signed Robin “ropz” Kool and everything changed.

Almost immediately, broky was unleashed and the whole team started to perform at a completely different level. Less than three months later, the first trophy was won. This happened at IEM Katowice, a tournament whose prize pool was $1 million.

In the Grand Final, FaZe encountered G2 Esports and the match was extremely difficult. Every single map was hard fought and the score doesn’t tell the real story. To an outsider, it might look as though FaZe won the match with ease because the score was 3-0 in their favor.

But the map scores tell a different story: 19-15 on Inferno, 31-27 on Mirage, and 16-14 on Dust II. As part of the winning team, broky finished the match with a K-D record of 95-80, which was really good.

FaZe Clan went on to win three more S-tier events in 2022: ESL Pro League Season 15, PGL Major Antwerp, and IEM Cologne. All three of them had excellent prize pools and required FaZe Clan to defeat a lot of exceptional teams. In the process, broky proved his worth repeatedly and often carried his team to success.

In the Grand Final of PGL Major Antwerp, he had the best K-D score on the server: 53-37. In the Grand Final of IEM Cologne, he was the best player on the server with 115 kills and 95 deaths.

These results have not gone unnoticed and he was named one of the top 20 CS:GO players of 2022. His rank was sixth.
