The Philippines will be hosting major MLBB events as the road to the Esports World Cup is heating up.
First off, the biggest esports league in the country is moving to a venue in the South of Metro Manila for the first time.
MPL Philippines Season 13 playoffs will be held from May 22 to 26 at the Event Hall of SM Southmall in Las Pinas City, one of the southernmost cities of Metro Manila.
Compared to previous seasons’ playoffs, the venue is smaller as opposed to the SMX Convention Center in Pasay or the EVM Convention Center in Quezon City, but it is going to be more audience-friendly due to it being present in a mall.
Ticket prices are going to be revealed soon, but as of late, 5 teams have already booked their playoffs slots: Minana EVOS, RSG Philippines, ECHO, ONIC Philippines, and reigning M5 World Champions AP Bren.
Also, for the first time, the MLBB Development League or MDL Philippines playoffs will be held onsite at the MPL Philippines regular season venue, the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.
The playoffs will be held alongside the MLBB Women’s Invitational or MWI Philippines qualifiers, and will be held from May 10-12.
Ticket prices are at PHP 250 (more or less US$5) for day passes, and PHP 350 (more or less US$6 or 7) for a grand finals pass.
The MDL Philippines playoffs will feature Onic Arsenals, TNC Z4, Blacklist Academy, Smart Omega Neos, ECHO Proud and RRQ Kaito.
