Good news for Fortnite fans! It looks like there will be some new servers coming to the game soon, which should significantly improve ping for many players. This information has so far only been leaked by data miners, without an official confirmation released by Epic Games.

Data mining has recently revealed that Epic Games may be about to release a new set of servers for Fortnite Battle Royale. Game files shared by FNBRLeaks and MystxcLeaks on Twitter contain a list of cities, states, and countries under the heading “Beta”. According to data miners, they are “currently in development”. The list includes Seoul, Belgium, the Netherlands, Mumbai, Paris, Montreal, London, Singapore, and Ohio, among others. It is currently not known when they will go into operation.

New servers for Fortnite

With Fortnite’s already massive player base growing by the day, the need for quality servers and high server count has never been greater. Luckily, Epic Games seems to be well on its way to filling that need and, if servers do indeed go live in all of those locations, improving the matchmaking experience for players around the world.

Epic Games uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for Fortnite’s entire online infrastructure and all servers run on AWS cloud servers, allowing events like the Season 4 rocket launch to successfully take place at the same time worldwide. The continuous development of AWS and the Fortnite servers over the past few months seems to allow for gradual expansion. The new servers will reportedly be located in the following cities/countries:

  • Seoul
  • South Carolina
  • Oregon
  • Mumbai
  • Ohio
  • Dublin
  • Singapore
  • London
  • Paris
  • Netherlands
  • Taiwan
  • Iowa
  • Belarus
  • Montreal

With additional servers, the ping should be significantly improved for many players. Following the leaks, a lot of joy came from the Indian Fortnite community, which grows bigger and bigger, about the server in Mumbai. Many also complained about missing servers in the Philippines.

In addition, fans can look forward to more news related to Fortnite. A Destiny 2 x Fortnite crossover was recently announced, adding Destiny 2 skins to Fortnite. This collaboration was made possible because the two parties agreed to publish the series on the Epic Games Store.

One last exciting Fortnite news — a leak says the Hulkbuster mech will appear in both the game and the comics soon. According to the leaker HYPEX, the Mechanized Hulk will be wearing a Stark-Seven suit and will appear in Fortnite soon.
