Respawn celebrates the start of the Apex Legends Global Championship Series event with the introduction of limited-time esports skins in a new in-game store. Esports has become a part of the core identity of the game since Apex Legends launched.

After two successful years of ALGS events, Respawn is adding a whole range of themed items for the best teams in the game. There are ten participants in total this time, and everything from team banners to legend skins is included. We will show you which items will be available.

Exclusive skins

Respawn’s revealed that each team will receive a pack that includes a themed banner, however, there are some variations on the larger items. According to the developer’s official announcement, items in the ALGS team shop will include team-branded epic banner frames, as well as bundles with epic or legendary weapons and legend skins.” For instance, 100T’s bundle includes the Burgundy Knight Pathfinder skin.

The list of participants is quite extensive, so the new items will be divided into two weeks. Each week consists of items for five teams and is broken down as follows:

July 5-12 (Week 1):

  • 100 Thieves
  • TSM
  • Crazy Raccoon
  • Cloud9
  • NRG

July 12-19 (Week 2):

  • NaVi
  • Alliance
  • G2 Esports
  • Complexity
  • Team Liquid

Each bundle contains three items — a team banner, a legend skin, and a weapon skin. In the trailer, you can see how each team gets a distinctive Legend skin, e.g. B. a TSM-themed Octane and a Team Liquid Bangalore, as well as a number of team-specific weapon skins. The full list of available items will be likely revealed in the coming days.

Apex Legends Global Series Championship

The Apex Legends Global Series Championship runs from July 7-10 and is the culmination of the 2021-22 ALGS season. 40 teams from around the world will compete in Raleigh, North Carolina to be crowned champions. The teams come from the following regions: North America (NA), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC) and South America (SA). In addition to being champions, teams compete for a share of the $2 million prize pool, with $500,000 going to first place.

With the elimination of Team Empire and Luminosity Gaming, the field of favorites to win the ALGS Championship continues to shrink. Looking at the final standings at the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs, the only other LAN event this year, is the best place to start looking for favorites. The first team to watch out for is Reignite, winners of the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs. Other teams to keep an eye on are Team Liquid and Team UNITE.
