The Christmas season can be difficult for those who don’t enjoy these holidays. If that’s your case, don’t worry. We’ve got some video games for you to vent your frustration with glitter balls and luminous trees.

Thanks to the powerful tools of science and technology, you can completely disconnect yourself from X-mas with the video games we present here, which have tons of Christmas-destroying fun up their sleeves to have.

Remedy for anti-Xmas cheer

The five games we’ve rounded up for you today are mostly single-player experiences, but we wanted to include a few to share with other Grinches just in case. Let’s start with our anti-Christmas portion of destructive fun.

If you were to ask several people which film is most related to Christmas, the titles you should watch would include Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, which is re-released every year.

Next, for those who hate Christmas, but appreciate the action; one of the first films directed by Bruce Willis, who tries to rescue the hostages in Nagatomo Tower is the first Die Hard.

The video games on this list definitely have as little to do with A Christmas Carol as possible.

With these games, you can vent Christmas frustration

Crazy, extravagant, but also quite funny is the add-on to Saints Row 4, in which the gang of Saints find themselves in a parallel world with the sole goal of saving Christmas. It’s definitely not a game to launch on the TV at home when grandparents and kids are around — this is Saints Row, after all — but if you can detach yourself from the relatives for a while, you can enjoy the humor of the game produced by Deep Silver. Gotham City is blanketed in snow, and that’s enough to rank the original adventure among the Christmas Grinch games.

Dead Rising Chapter 4 is also a good candidate for venting. Dead Rising 4 may not be the best game in Capcom’s series, but the combination of zombies and Christmas decorations has made it a must-have for all Grinch fans out there over the years.

We have two more games, but they’re two very different experiences. On one hand, we want to point out the free DLC of The Escapist series, which is about an elf from Santa’s shop who decided to escape from the North Pole. A devilish pixel art adventure.

The other title is add-on content that will return on a regular basis to entertain those who know and like Hitman’s live service development with World of Assassination. Every year at this time, “Holiday Hoarders” arrives, as punctual as clockwork. And each year the items and costumes you can unlock are different, but always fun and the perfect way to let off some Christmas frustration.
