The VCT 2023 season is entering its critical point. Many teams are making some moves to spend their last cartridges in the LCQ of different regions to fight for the qualification to VALORANT Champions 2023.

This time, we have Global Esports announcing the departure of Michael “WRONSKI” Wronski just five days before the start of the VCT 2023 Pacific LCQ. Indeed, this move does not affect the team’s performance since Global Esports used to manage a lineup of up to ten players. However, the Australian/Laotian player announced that, following this move, he is retiring from the VALORANT competitive scene.

Global Esports announce WRONSKI’s departure from its VALORANT lineup

Through a video and an official statement on its Twitter account, Global Esports announced the departure of WRONSKI from its VALORANT lineup. In addition, the Indian organization appreciates all the player’s efforts in the VCT Pacific League regular season.

However, that’s not all, as WRONSKI announced his imminent retirement from the VALORANT competitive scene after he departed from Global Esports. This decision comes after GE was unsuccessful in the VCT Pacific League regular season. In addition, it is worth mentioning that WRONSKI only played in four of his team’s nine games this season.

WRONSKI and his very short GE career

The Australian/Laotian player was the only player from Oceania in the top-level VALORANT scene in all world regions.

WRONSKI started his professional career in VALORANT in 2021, playing under the banner of PillowBangers, one of the few professional teams from his region that played the First Strike Oceania. He was then part of teams such as PEACE, Funcrew, and Team Bliss during the VALORANT Oceania Tour 2021.

Then, WRONSKI played for ORDER, a team that contested the 2022 APAC LCQ for the VALORANT Champions. However, in October 2022, it was announced the player’s signing to play for the Indian organization in the VCT Pacific League 2023. Finally, the player is widely known for his role as a Duelist with KAY/O in GE, but he could only help his team win in two of the matches he played.

As mentioned, after he departed from the Indian organization, WRONSKI announced his retirement from the VALORANT competitive scene. In a Tweet, the player referenced that the “industry” was “not for him,” but he feels “blessed” to have been a part of it.
