Despite having the highest pistol round win rate in the VCT Pacific, Global Esports failed to capitalize on it in their match against RRQ. As defenders, RRQ dominated the first half with six-round wins, bringing the game to an even standing. In the second half, RRQ’s strategies were even more impressive, allowing them to mount continuous pressure on GE with flanking maneuvers from the site’s backside. The match remained closely contested for 23 rounds, but RRQ eventually secured the first map with a score of 13-10, with Eroll “EJAY” Jule Delfin contributing an impressive 23 frags as Raze.

Unfortunately for Global Esports, their map pick did not go as planned, with RRQ dominating the second map and securing a clean sweep. Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar appeared uncomfortable with the operator, which hurt GE’s economy for most rounds. RRQ took an early 8-4 lead in the first half, and although GE made an almost successful comeback in the second half, a clutch play from Hagai “Lmemore” Kristen Yesyurun with a Sheriff headshot put them on the back foot. RRQ ultimately secured a 2-0 series win over GE with a close score of 13-11 on Pearl.
