Valve introduces Weekly Care Package system in CS2

After a melancholy farewell to our beloved CS:GO and the arrival of the long-awaited CS2, Valve invites all players to the new game, which brings many enticements.

While we are all very happy to start this Counter-Strike 2 adventure, there are also some rewards for doing so, as Valve offers weekly gifts just for playing the game.

Undoubtedly, skins, or cases in Counter-Strike, have become a fundamental part of the game throughout its history. However, the fact that players have to spend real money to get skins in the game may not go down well with the community. At the moment, Valve recently set up a system known as the Weekly Care Package to give an incentive to consistent players in the game.

Valve introduces the Weekly Care Package system to CS2

If you are one of the privileged players with access to the CS2 beta, you should know that Valve has been giving weekly gifts or rewards to players. Similarly, it is worth noting that these rewards were given to those players who leveled up their Prime Status per week.

However, this drop was random, just as it always was in CS:GO, and often not enjoyed by all players. As a result, Valve wanted to give a twist to this situation, and it does nothing more and nothing less than in the official launch of CS2.

Now, for players to access these weekly rewards, the only requirement they must meet is to have their Prime Status activated and, of course, play games. As a result, Valve will give them to choice of the prize they want to receive, a case, a skin, and a graffiti per week.

When is the Weekly Care Package activated?

As we mentioned, after you have your Prime Status active, all you have to do is start playing, and when you level up for the first time in the week, the Weekly Care Package will immediately open.

As we can see in the previous image, the game will give us 2 of 4 options to choose from for our weekly reward. In addition, among these options, there will be a case, one or two skins, and one or two graffiti. Finally, after we select the two items we want as rewards, we click on the green button “CLAIM REWARDS,” and they will immediately go to our inventory.

Remember that if we select the case, we must buy the key to open it, so think carefully before making your selections. Similarly, all these selections can be sold on the Steam market without any problem, so it is a way to get “free” money for our future purchases within CS2 or on the Steam platform.
