The BLAST.tv Paris Major is underway, and right now, we know of several teams that have said goodbye to the tournament, Complexity, The Mongolz, OG, Fluxo, and MOUZ. The Brazilian team, Fluxo, lost all three games they played in the Major, and according to their coach, Wilton “zews” Prado, the team’s future is uncertain.

While it is true that in these three days of competition, we have observed great tragedies in the CS:GO scene, such as eliminating MOUZ and Complexity, the guys from Fluxo had great expectations in this tournament. But, unfortunately, they couldn’t make it past the Challenger Stage as they bowed out of the tournament with a terrible 0-3 record.

Fluxus say premature farewell to Paris Major

There is no doubt that the Latin American fans, and especially the Brazilian fans, had their chips on Fluxo to at least advance to the Legends Stage. However, the team’s performance was not ideal, and they ended up being eliminated on the tournament’s second day after losing 1-2 to Team Liquid.

To all this, BLAST, in their post-match interview, had zews, who James Banks interviewed, and the latter asked him some questions where Zews said:

“Our future is uncertain; we’ll see what happens. We’ll have to see what happens from now on with the team.”

With this answer, all of us in the community have realized that it is more than likely that the organization will decide to make one or more changes in the lineup; in addition, many are talking about a possible dissolution of the team. While it is true that Fluxo had their best match against Team Liquid in the elimination match, they were ultimately victims of a spectacular reverse sweep by Liquid. However, the Brazilians showed a really low level in their first two matches, losing 2-16 to paiN and 8-16 to Monte.

Players also say they don’t know what will happen

Both João “felps” Vasconcellos and Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves were interviewed by Alexandre “gAuLeS” Borba after the match. Lucaozy mentioned that they don’t know what will happen with the team now that they were eliminated from the Paris Major, while felps mentioned that many things could happen in their return to Brazil.

There are still several matches to go before the Challengers Stage ends, and we will know which teams will be present at the Legends Stage. However, Felps and Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato, both from Fluxo, are among the worst players in the tournament, with a rating of 0.67 and 0.70, respectively.

With the team’s future completely uncertain, it is worth noting that Fluxo has been in the professional CS:GO scene since August 2022. This shows us that in Brazil, there is a lot of talent in the scene, as the team managed to qualify for the Major without even having a year competing. In addition, for the start of the 2023 season, the organization included zews and Allan “history” Lawrenz to improve the team’s performance and achieve the qualification for the Paris Major.

Fluxo achieved the goal of qualifying for the Major but could not show a good performance in the tournament. Now, the only thing left to do is to wait for the official announcements from the organization when they arrive in Brazil.
