GamerLegion And BIG Qualify For The Playoffs of EPL S19

With only two more days before the end of the group stage, GamerLegion and BIG have qualified for the playoffs of ESL Pro League S19. These teams were expected to do well ahead of the tournament, so it’s not a big surprise that they qualified. But in the process, they had to defeat other favorites, who will get one last opportunity in the lower bracket.

Both GamerLegion and BIG won the mid brackets of their respective groups, which means they ended the first stage of the tournament with a record of 3 W – 1 L. Thanks to this result, they will start the

GL started ESL Pro League S19 with a victory against ENCE. The scores speak for themselves: 13 – 6 on Ancient and 13 – 16 on Overpass. In other words, this was a one-sided match in which GL’s international roster proved to be much stronger than gla1ve’s. Despite the formidable knowledge of the Danish player, his team was badly beaten.

The best player on the server was sl3nd, who is from Hungary. His individual score, 33 – 13, allowed GamerLegion to win a lot of key rounds and build an insurmountable lead on both maps.

In their next match, GL lost against MOUZ, who are one of the best teams in the tournament. The first map, in particular, was a complete disaster: 13 – 1. On the second map, GL played well and lost only after overtime. The score was 16 – 12. Snax had a reasonably good game, but even his KD score was negative.

After this defeat, GL started their mid bracket run with a victory against FORZE Esports: 2 – 1. After that, they defeated ENCE for the second time, 2 – 0. But this time, the match was a bit tougher.

BIG’s Results

BIG did not have an easy start in this tournament. They won against BOSS 2 – 0, but only after a long struggle. The scores were 16 – 13 on Ancient and 13 – 10 on Vertigo. They would have won a lot faster but Cryptic, who played for BOSS, was the best player on the server with an individual score of 51 – 36 and an ADR of 103.8.

BIG won the first map against Natus Vincere but eventually lost 1 – 2. After this defeat, they had to beat Pera Esports and HEROIC in the mid bracket, which they did. The match against Pera was a lot more challenging than we expected. But what is even more remarkable is that they managed to beat HEROIC, which is a top 10 team at the moment.
