Tundra Esports’ new lineup for the upcoming Dota 2 season marks a significant shift in their team composition.

The departure of Topson and the absence of former TI-winners have paved the way for Tundra to bring in most of TSM’s former roster from North America to Europe. This move aligns with the recent trend of sponsors withdrawing from North American and South American Dota, as highlighted by MoonMeander’s tweet.

From first TSM captain to a return to EU

TSM’s exit from NA Dota, despite qualifying for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and recently acquiring Immersion, was unexpected. This leaves the former TSM players, including Timado, Bryle, kasane, Immersion, Whitemon, and coach MoonMeander, to join Tundra. From the previous Tundra lineup that won The International 2022, only Saksa remains, although he is currently inactive due to health reasons.

Topson’s removal from Tundra’s roster signifies an end to his brief association with the team, which did not result in long-term plans following their early exit at a recent event. The future of TSM’s Dota operations, whether in a different region or a complete pause, is still uncertain. Meanwhile, Tundra is set to compete at ESL One Kuala Lumpur from December 11 to 17, showcasing their new roster and strategic direction in the Dota 2 scene.
