All of us love esports matches that go the full length of the series, those that are close and have a lot of comebacks and surprises in store for us. But unfortunately, there’s also the exact opposite, when the teams’ strengths just aren’t balanced.

Then you actually want to close your eyes because it hurts just looking at it. When a team is destroyed in a matchup, morale is in the basement and the players might as well go AFK, you do feel sorry, even if you’re not a fan of the humiliated team. And sometimes you’re just speechless when a team manages to outclass their opponents.

Here we have Top 10 esports matches where teams were simply destroyed!

10. OG at TI9 (Dota 2)

When it comes to Dota 2, OG definitely knows no humility. They just wiped out their opponents Newbee at TI9, you might say. And even though Notail is known for his bad behavior, he demonstrated it again this time. OG drove his opponents so far into despair and then started getting a bit toxic as well. Dropping flags, spamming emotes, and not letting their opponents leave their base while tanking Fountain. It’s almost heartbreaking to watch.

9. The Trolls (LoL)

A notorious matchup between Team Dark and Samsung Ozone is considered the shortest game in Pro-Play! It was just as one-sided as you’d expect, and there was a reason for that: Team Dark was obviously trolling. Team Apdo’s lead, a legendary solo queue prodigy had been banned shortly before, and their run in the Winter Champions tournament wasn’t looking too bright anyway. What do you do in a situation like that? Exactly, just pick five junglers! The team thus became a living meme! The Samsung players also got a kick out of it and picked five hard-pushing champions in response. After eight minutes, Samsung Ozone destroyed Team Dark’s base, but well, what can you do when your opponents are so clearly trolling?

8. Immortals against Team Impulse (LoL)

This game was a storybook stomp that everyone expected. In the Spring Split of the LCS Team Impulse had to play against the Immortals. Unfortunately, they had to play with two substitutes and one player didn’t even play his main role. So it was clear from the beginning that they would need a small miracle to win. But that was a long time coming and after 19 minutes the Immortals won with a perfect game without any deaths. It was also the fastest game in LCS history at the time.

7. G2 destroy EG (R6)

G2 is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious esports organizations, even in Rainbow 6 Siege. They proved that they can do more than just League of Legends and Counter-Strike at Six Major Paris. Evil Geniuses were bitterly defeated at the Six Invitational 2018 and that’s why they wanted to take revenge at the Major. But the revenge failed, because G2 just couldn’t be brought down. On all three maps they swept over their opponents like a wild tornado and only lost two rounds per map. In the end they won 3:0 and made sure that EG’s revenge was more bitter than sweet.

6. Unstoppable FaZe Clan (CS:GO)

Everyone knows that the FaZe Clan in CS:GO has a lot going for it. 2017 was Karrigan’s first year on the team, and the roster at the time had put on an absolutely killer performance at ESL One New York 2017 that went down in the history books. If you read through the names of the team, you can already guess why: GuardiaN, niko, rain, karrigan and olofmeister didn’t give their opponents from Team Liquid a chance to win the series, let alone win a map at all.

5. San Francisco Shock Golden Stage (Overwatch)

Sometimes crazy things happen in the Overwatch League. San Francisco Shock is the team everyone was afraid of in 2019. There have been perfect games in the OWL before, but San Francisco Shock showed that they can just do it better. They managed to not lose a map and earned the Golden Stage! They had an incredible team vibe, fantastic coaching, and their own flexibility to adapt to any meta to thank for that. They murfed through that stage like it was nothing and that’s something you have to replicate.

4. Under the Radar (LoL)

With some teams and matchups, you just know who’s going to win. And that’s what you thought at the League of Legends Worlds 2014 when Alliance played the Korean team Najin White Shield. Everyone knows that Korea is a real talent factory when it comes to professional esports players and that the strongest teams in the world come from there. Actually, it would have taken another Korean team to stop Najin, but Alliance surprised everyone and defeated the clear favorite. Unfortunately, the win didn’t help them in advancing either, but some wins are just for the ego.

3. Astralis clear AVANGAR (CS:GO)

At the Starladder Berlin Major Grand Final, Astralis had a really strong run! After sending Vitality and Renegades home, the only team left standing between them and the trophy was AVANGAR. Their opponents were the classic underdogs, dreaming of a miracle. Unfortunately, nothing came of it and Astralis won both maps with ease. With 16:6 and 16:5 they took the victory in the grand final, but that was almost a foregone conclusion with this Astralis roster!

2. G2’s legendary MSI final (LoL)

It was an incredible MSI final that will be remembered ten years from now. For once, there really was no Asian team in the final of this tournament. The battle for the trophy was fought between G2 and Team Liquid, who both managed to eliminate really strong opponents on their way to the trophy. But after G2 had beaten T1 earlier, Team Liquid must have looked like a bit of an afternoon snack for them. Not only did they win 3-0 against Team Liquid, but they also set the record for the fastest best-of-three in League of Legends history at the same time! What can you say about that? EU > NA !

1. It really doesn’t get any faster than this (LoL)

Apart from the match between Team Dark and Samsung Ozone, there is another match that is considered the shortest game without a team trolling. At IEM Singapore in Season 7, KL Hunters must have wanted to humiliate their opponents Armageddon because the match was over after 11:48 minutes. The match started slow, but eventually the KL Hunters picked up the pace and got 19 kills in the midlane. Armageddon was simply outclassed in this bloodbath, setting the record for the fastest LoL match in history. Unfortunately, they also lost to EloHell in just under 13 minutes at the same tournament, setting the record for the second-fastest match as well. But hey, at least it’s a record!
