Team Vitality have won the “triangle” this year. The BLAST Premier: World Final trophy is theirs after a relatively easy Grand Final against FaZe Clan.

The rest of the tournament didn’t look that challenging either, partly because they had to play twice against a weakened Natus Vincere roster. Both times, they won the match 2 – 0 without any problems. And ZywOo wasn’t even the man of the match. Surprisingly the French team got carried by apEX and mezii, which is quite a rare occurrence.

With this victory, Vitality have secured the number 1 spot in the global rankings and will start the 2024 season more optimistic than ever. In 2023, they achieved more than in any other season since the team was founded. They won five S-tier events, including the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

In total, they earned $1.7 million from tournament prizes and will not face any challenges if they want new sponsorship deals. ZywOo is proving to be a highly consistent player and will likely win the individual race again this year. His performances in 2023 were absolutely incredible. But this time, he’s had a lot of support from Spinx and the rest of the crew.

The Grand Final against FaZe Clan

In the BLAST Premier: World Final Grand Final, Vitality should have had more problems. But FaZe simply couldn’t challenge them enough. Their new player, frozen, still needs time to learn the team’s system. Until he does, an opponent of Vitality’s caliber will easily exploit their weaknesses.

What happened in Inferno’s and then in Nuke’s second half showed that when they need to defend themselves, FaZe don’t know how to do it at this point. Their defensive lines were breached over and over by relatively simple tactics and superior shooting skills.

In the Grand Final, ZywOo had a personal record of 38 – 19 / 1.69, which is a remarkable performance. Meanwhile, one of FaZe Clan’s most important players, rain, finished the match with a record of 16 – 30 / 0.76, which is almost as bad as it can be at this level.

No need to worry though, because FaZe will have around a month or two to fix everything and come back stronger. For Vitality, it’s now just a matter of staying focused and continuing to do what works. This shouldn’t be hard for them, as they are proving that even without zonic and Magisk, they can be the best of the best.
