After a long VALORANT offseason before the start of the new era of VCT franchises, the 30 partner teams in the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific regions now have their entire lineups.

KOI, the Spanish organization founded by Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos and former FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué, has completed its VALORANT lineup for VCT EMEA 2023.

Official announcement via Twitter

And, as we mentioned in a previous article, the European organization KOI has signed the former Acend player and world champion from 2021, Patryk “starxo” Kopczyński, for the 2023 season.

The Tweet noted:

“The missing piece of our #VCT team is here. Welcome, @starxo5. The good stuff begins.”

There is no doubt that this new signing does not catch off guard the fans who keep up to date with the news of professional VALORANT and, much less, those who follow us daily on fragster.

The rumor had been circulating on social media for several days. But the player could not make it official due to his contractual situation with Acend.

However, in the last few hours, Acend and starxo confirmed the termination of his contract, so it was more than foreseeable that this would happen.

KOI announces the rest of its staff in December

As we reported in due course, KOI announced almost its entire lineup for VCT EMEA 2023 last December 16 at a significant organization event.

Back then, KOI announced former Guild IGL Jose “koldamenta” Herrero, former flex player Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko, former Gambit member Bogdan “Sheydos” Naumov, and Berkant “Wolfen” Joshkun.

Moreover, André “BARBARR” Möller will take the team’s reins as Head Coach.

Guild and M3C bring talent to VCT

Many organizations let their players go after the announcement of the teams associated with VCT 2023. This is because only ten were selected for each of the regions.

It is expected that many players want to play at VALORANT’s highest competitive level, not in development leagues.

KOI was not the only organization that benefited from the Guild and M3C teams forming their lineups for VCT 2023. Team Liquid and Fnatic were also reinforced with players from these teams during the offseason.

In addition, as we can see in the teams’ lineups, NaVi, KCorp, and Heretics also have outstanding players.

We will find out the true potential at the LOCK//IN event in São Paulo

While it is true that the different EMEA teams will play each other at the beginning of the season. The true potential of the teams will be revealed at the LOCK//IN event in São Paulo.

Remember that to kick off the 2023 VCT season officially. Then, the teams will travel to São Paulo, Brazil, to play the opening event. The 30 teams associated with Riot Games through the VCT will compete in this spectacular three-week tournament.
