S1mple points out b1t and npl for defeat at IEM Katowice 2023

G2 Esports has been the great protagonist of IEM Katowice 2023 after lifting the title at the Spodek Arena. The Samurai have achieved a perfect run in which they have only lost one map, so the title is more than deserved.

However, no matter what happens, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev will always occupy the media spotlight in the CS:GO ecosystem, which also happened in Katowice.

S1mple is trending for his post-elimination statements

The Ukrainian starred in controversial statements after losing 2-0 against Heroic in the semifinals and pointed directly at some of his teammates and even the coach.

The Ukrainian AWPer’s words after NAVI’s 2-0 loss to Heroic in the semifinals sparked controversy as he publicly blamed some of his teammates and his coach. This has drawn criticism from members of the CS:GO community. S1mple said that some of his teammates “crapped their pants on stage.”

We all know s1mple’s incredible track record in the CS:GO competitive scene. The Ukrainian is considered the best player and hasn’t stopped proving it. But his last few months have been tough on a personal level due to the conflict in Ukraine. Despite this, the AWPer is still decisive for his team and is even the best player of 2022.

As well as we know his level and that he is frank in any interview and does not even marry his teammates. However, after NaVi’s elimination from IEM Katowice 2023, the Ukrainian has dropped a couple of pearls that won’t endear him to his teammate.

It is clear that S1mple’s attitude and comments have not been favorable and are not helping his team’s performance, especially when they are struggling. Nevertheless, players must remain humble and support their teammates, especially in difficult times.

Coaches also need to make sure their players understand the importance of team spirit and the need to work together to achieve success. If S1mple does not change his attitude soon, it could have a negative effect on the team’s morale and performance.

The Ukrainian player said:

“He lacks practice and experience on stage, not only npl but b1t; he was closed on himself, and it was difficult to play with him. So we need about two more months, maybe two tournaments. I really want us to avoid yesterday’s mistakes in the Paris Major.”

S1mple has always expressed his opinion and does not shy away from it. But such public statements may not be ideal for the team and its players. It is important to remember that S1mple is still a young player and should be careful not to speak too harshly about his teammates.

The team must stick together and work as a unit rather than having individual members create problems and unrest. There is no doubt that s1mple is a great player. But he must also respect his team and understand that communication is key in any team environment.
