Riot Forge announce The Mageseeker and two other titles

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, the newest spin-off from developer Riot Games’ Riot Forge label, has been officially announced.

The player will take on the role of the League of Legends character Sylas in Mageseeker, a 2D hi-bit pixel action role-playing game, developed by Digital Sun, the same company that created Moonlighter. According to the lore, Sylas was a mage-seeker who was betrayed and put in jail.

Following his escape, Sylas underwent an extreme transformation, turning into a rebel who wants to get revenge on the Kingdom of Demacia. For those who aren’t aware of the League of Legends lore, Demacia is a kingdom that takes great pleasure in its strict law and order and uses magic to impose them.

 The blood of mages kept the country at peace until Sylas gathers an army of rebel mages and starts a revolt to overthrow Demacia’s monarchy and put an end to the oppression of mages. Riot Forge claims that the game offers an action-packed fantasy gameplay experience for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in a tale of power, identity, and justice, even though specifics about the gameplay haven’t been revealed yet.

With the intention of producing games that broaden the League of Legends universe and provide players with an entirely new League of Legends experience, Riot Forge, a publishing label of Riot Games, was established in 2019. Riot Forge has already been successful in drawing a lot of attention to the LoL universe with two companion games that were released in 2021 and the debut of the acclaimed Netflix series Arcane.

The label has so far released the League of Legends-themed endless runner game Hextech Mayhem and the 2021 JRPG Ruined King, which was created by Battle Chasers: Nightwar developer Airship Syndicate. As three additional League of Legends stories debut in 2023, beginning with The Mageseeker in the spring, this year could be their most successful year so far.

Riot Forge gives new information on its two upcoming games

Additionally, the creator has provided an update on two of its other League of Legends Story games, both of which were revealed near the end of 2021. In the summer of 2023, Double Stallion Games will also release CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story, a single-player 2D action platformer that allows players to control time by harnessing Ekko’s powers.

In the fall of 2023, Tequila Works will release Song Of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, the single-player adventure featuring Nunu and Willump’s epic quest to find Nunu’s missing mother. Both games will be accessible on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox.
