After a short break in recent months, the Pinnacle Cup returns to the CS:GO competitive scene. According to the official announcement, tournaments will be organized throughout the 2023 season. In addition, a new circuit is included, which we are sure will be very popular, the Brazilian circuit.

Undoubtedly, the more tournaments of the highest competitive level throughout the season, the better the competition and, above all, the more excitement the fans will have. So, it’s no secret that the CS:GO community is celebrating the return of the Pinnacle Cup tournaments.

Pinnacle announces the return of CS:GO tournaments

Through a statement on its official blog and Twitter account, Pinnacle Esports announced the return of the Pinnacle Cup, a series of CS:GO tournaments that will take place throughout the season.

According to the official announcement, Pinnacle is joining forces again with GRID, a big gaming data platform, to pick up where it left off, namely the Pinnacle Cup Championship. They also point out that the series will feature four additional tournaments to be played online and, in addition, two dedicated tournaments in Brazil.

Now, for these tournaments, we will have the participation of the best teams in the scene. However, it is also expected that teams that have given great results recently but do not belong to the top of the CS:GO competitive scene will also attend.

Like most CS:GO tournaments nowadays, the Pinnacle Cup will be played in a Swiss format, followed by the playoffs. On the other hand, it should be noted that this season’s main tournaments, i.e., Pinnacle Cup 5 and 6, will have a Play-In phase, where teams will compete for a prize pool of $50,000.

The teams that manage to win the Swiss phase qualify for the playoffs, where they will face four teams that will be directly invited to fight for the prizes and, of course, the champions trophy.

The winners of each Swiss phase will advance to the playoffs, where four other direct invitees can take home the coveted prize.

Pinnacle bets again on its partnership with GRID

As mentioned, Pinnacle continues to strengthen its partnership with GRID, the leading tournament data collection platform, and, in addition, with Eden Esports, which will be in charge of the event’s production. These partnerships are well known to each other, as they organized the Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes and the Pinnacle Cup Championship.

In addition, Pinnacle will continue to work with GRID, the official data partner of the tournaments, and Eden Esports, the production partner. Both brands have partnered with Pinnacle and helped organize exciting tournaments such as the Pinnacle Cup Championship and Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes.

On the other hand, it was also announced that the events would be streamed on all official Pinnacle Esports Twitch channels in English, Russian, and Portuguese. In addition, they also announced that different personalities (streamers) in the CS:GO scene will also broadcast the games. This is what we have called Watch Parties in recent times at different esports events.

Alex McBride, president of esports at Pinnacle, said:

“We are delighted to be back hosting Pinnacle Cup events for CS:GO. Having previously announced our Dota 2 series, this adds to the positive impact we are hoping to achieve across esports.”
