The qualifiers for the BLAST.tv Paris Major are scheduled to take place between April 6-15. In most regions, they will end on April 9. But in Europe, the second qualifier takes place between April 11-15. The Major itself is scheduled for May (8-21).

The big event will feature 24 teams and all of them need to qualify. This means that the four qualifiers are of great significance for everyone involved.

The European RMRs

In Europe, the two qualifiers, called European RMR A and European RMR B, will give 17 teams the chance to go to the BLAST.tv Paris Major. For the previous CS:GO Major, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Europe received only 16 tickets for the tournament. This time it got 17, which is great news for the region.

The 17th team will be decided in a special qualifier, called EU Decider Bracket, which will bring together the 9th-11th place teams from both qualifiers. These four teams will compete for a single spot, but at least they will get one final opportunity to qualify for the Major.

Here are the participants of European RMR A:

  • Virtus.pro
  • MOUZ
  • Fnatic
  • Natus Vincere
  • Bad News Eagles
  • Sprout
  • FaZe Clan
  • Apeks
  • Team GamerLegion
  • OG
  • Team Falcons
  • 1win
  • Into The Breach
  • Viperio
  • B8
  • SAW

Here are the participants of European RMR B:

  • Team Spirit
  • BIG
  • ENCE
  • Team Vitality
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • 9INE
  • G2 Esports
  • Eternal Fire
  • Astralis
  • Monte
  • iNation
  • Aurora Gaming
  • forZe
  • 500

In both cases, the competitive format used will be the Swiss System.

The American RMR

In the American RMR, a total of 16 teams will compete for just five available spots at the Paris Major. These teams are listed below:

  • FURIA Esports
  • Team Liquid
  • BESTIA
  • Complexity Gaming
  • Imperial Esports
  • paiN Gaming
  • Fluxo
  • MIBR
  • Flamengo Esports
  • Yur
  • Paqueta Gaming
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Fuscao 1500
  • Nouns Esports
  • 00 Nation
  • LOS + oNe

The Asia-Pacific RMR

In Asia-Pacific, there are only eight participants. The number of available qualification spots for the Major is only two.

  • IHC Esports
  • Eruption
  • Grayhound Gaming
  • VERTEX Esports Club
  • Rare Atom
  • TYLOO
  • Invictus International
  • Twisted Minds

Because of the small number of participants, the format used here will be Double-Elimination.

Overall expectations

The four qualifiers for the BLAST.tv Paris Major should be exciting to watch. The stakes are high, so everyone will want to get the opportunity to at least compete in the tournament. One thing to keep in mind is the distinction between Legends, Challengers, and Contenders. Obviously, everyone wants to be a Legend Status team.
