Omega League: Europe Immortal Division only has 6 teams left in the race for the title. Team Secret and OG will play in the Upper Bracket Final, while Team Nigma, Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses, and Alliance will be fighting for survival in the Lower Bracket. In this article, I will focus on these survival matches and take a look at the teams.

Omega League: Europe Immortal Division Results

In the Group Stage of Omega League: Europe Immortal Division, Team Nigma finished 1st in Group A, Team Liquid finished 4th in Group B, Evil Geniuses finished 2nd in Group A, and Alliance finished 4th in Group A. This basically means that EG and Alliance have already met once in this tournament. And the winner was EG (2 – 0).

In the Playoffs Stage, Team Nigma was defeated by OG while Evil Geniuses was defeated by Team Secret. Both matches ended with a score of 2 – 0. In the Lower Bracket, Team Liquid defeated Virtus.pro while Alliance defeated Vikin.gg.

Lower Bracket R2

These are the two matches that will take place in the second round of the Lower Bracket.

Team Nigma vs. Team Liquid

Nigma dominated Group A. And this was not an easy group. Evil Geniuses, Virtus.pro, and Alliance were there as well. By contrast, Liquid finished 4th in Group B, with just 2 wins and 3 losses. Overall, Nigma has played much better in the last several months than Liquid. And in the direct matches, KuroKy’s team won the last 5 encounters. So as you might imagine, Nigma is the heavy favorite to win this one as well.

Evil Geniuses vs. Alliance

Evil Geniuses already beat Alliance in the Group Stage, so the question is: can s4 find a solution to EG’s playstyle? Puppey managed to do exactly that in his last match, but you can’t compare Secret to Alliance. Based on the weaknesses displayed by EG in the Group Stage, as well as in their match against Secret, I think Alliance will have plenty of surprises for them and it’s likely that we’ll see an upset in this match. Of course, Fly and his squad still have the best chances of winning, but I don’t think you should underestimate Alliance. Just recently, at OGA Dota PIT S2: Europe/CIS, Nikobaby and the rest of the crew almost defeated Nigma in the Grand Final. And with the level of talent that exists in this team, I completely see them fully capable of beating EG.
