Next VALORANT agent will be revealed at VCT LOCK//IN

If the VALORANT community was already looking forward to the VCT Champions Tour: LOCK//IN playoffs, they are even more so after the new announcement made by Riot Games.

This weekend, at the showmatch before the VCT LOCK/IN Grand Final in Brazil, the shooter’s Agent 22 will be unveiled.

Gekko is the name of the new character; he is a titular character, and he and Reyna have a close relationship by all appearances. The first of the three agents, Gekko, will arrive in VALORANT in 2023.

New VALORANT agent

The new agent will be announced for the first time at the competition, which has invited all 30 partner teams and two Chinese teams to participate in São Paulo, Brazil, before the grand final.

The grand final is scheduled to begin on March 4, and around 11 a.m. CT, viewers will get their first glimpse of the new agent.

Although Agent 22 is a mystery to everyone, we got a small preview of him on February 20. Two other agents are scheduled to be introduced later this year.

Yesterday, February 28, VALORANT’s most recent teaser of Agent 22 was released, showing a chat session. Brimstone, Sage, Jett, Reyna, and Neon can be seen exchanging messages in this session. They talk about the next VALORANT character.

In particular, Reyna seems to be questioned about Agent 22 and replies, “I trust him,” which may allude to a relationship between the two.

Will Reyna and Agent 22 be a compatible match? After this mini teaser, all left was to know when she would be introduced, and the scenario was just right.

Tarik and FRTTT to be the first to test Gekko

The anticipation doesn’t end with the unveiling of Agent 22. On March 4, a showmatch between Tarik and FRTTT, two well-known VALORANT streamers, will be held with the agent activated. With the new agent, both streamers will compete against each other.

Although the teams participating in the game have not yet been revealed, we may see several well-known names, both professional players and content creators.

The showmatch and the presentation of the new VALORANT agent will take place before the grand finale of the VCT LOCK/IN. After that, two teams will compete for a different place for their region in the VCT Masters to be held later this year.

So far, four teams remain in the LOCK/IN competition. When LOUD plays DRX later this week to determine the grand final opponent, Fnatic will face Natus Vincere.

New agents

Gekko will be the first of three agents arriving at VALORANT this year. The next one has no date yet, but it is known that he will be a sentinel. The big surprise will be the last of them, as its class was not confirmed, but it was already assured that it would not be a new one as it was speculated on social networks.
