Group C of ESL Pro League S18 is now history, and we have NaVi, the team that has been the talk of the town this season, finally starting to show signs of improvement. As a result, the Ukrainian team took a solid 2-0 victory against FaZe Clan in the Upper Bracket Grand Final to win Group C.

This, in addition to giving them a big boost and, above all, a confidence boost, means that the team starts the playoffs from the quarter-finals, i.e., they skip 3 rounds in the defining phase of the tournament. On the other hand, FaZe Clan left everything on each map, but it was not enough, and, this time, they will have to settle for the fact of starting from the Round of 12 in the playoffs.

There is no doubt that this is excellent news both for NaVi fans and for the players themselves, as they have been playing well below their level since the creation of this new lineup. On the other hand, it is also fair to point out that NaVi did not lose a single map in this ESL Pro League S18 Group Stage, so we completely agree that they dominated Group C at will.

Let’s see what happened in the Group C Grand Final match between NaVi and FaZe Clan.

NaVi annihilate FaZe Clan 2-0

We were all anxious to see this game unfold, as both teams needed a revival at this point in the season. However, in the end, it was the Ukrainian squad that was able to step up to annihilate FaZe Clan 2-0.

The series took place at Anubis and Nuke.

Anubis

It all started at Anubis, NaVi’s map pick, where we witnessed great play from the Ukrainian squad, who took an excellent 11-4 partial victory in the first half. Moreover, this was not all, as NaVi’s dominance was so great that they won the first 5 rounds of the second half to take a resounding 16-4 victory.

Nuke

The teams then moved to Nuke, FaZe Clan’s map pick, where we enjoyed a different match full of excitement from start to finish. However, NaVi again started very strong on their CT Side to take a very good partial victory in the first half by 9-6. On the other hand, FaZe Clan would not stay with their arms crossed, as they began to wake up little by little and even put the score 13-9 in their favor after winning the first 7 consecutive rounds.

Finally, NaVi’s offense, led by Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, responded to win the last 7 rounds to seal their 16-13 victory to win Group C.
