Madrid City Council kicks off Esports Series with Clash Royale and Fortnite championships

Esports Series Madrid is an initiative of the Madrid City Council. The competition was born to create a community to enjoy the values of esports. In the same way, players can become professionals in esports and meet other gamers in an environment of healthy and fun competition.

The new Madrid in Game initiative will start with Fortnite and Clash Royale leagues. The Madrid City Council seeks to pave the way for the best esports competitions.

Esports Series Madrid

Fortnite

The Esports Series Madrid league of Fortnite is looking for the best teams from all over Spain; this league starts on March 10. Competitors will play online but will face each other in a LAN final.

The players of this competition of the well-known game of Epic Games will face each other in a battle royale, where the best teams will qualify for the grand final.

Clash Royale

The Clash Royale Esports Series Madrid league will begin on March 11 and bring together the best competitors in a healthy, fun, and educational competitive environment.

Esports Series Madrid Schedule

The first season of Esports Series Madrid of Fortnite and Clash Royale will be open to players from all over Spain. This season will be played between March and June; the second season will be between September and December.

Register for both leagues on the same website that hosts the tournament.

The playoffs of both leagues will take place according to the competition schedule. In addition to the Esports Series, the Madrid in Game Video Games Campus will set up the Esports Center as a training camp with a large training area for the teams. From there, various competitions and occasions will be promoted to make esports known to Madrid and its people.

The Madrid Video Game Campus houses a project incubator-accelerator. In addition, it is a high-performance facility for esports and an experience pavilion, as well as the Madrid Videogame Cluster, which brings together the entire ecosystem of companies and training facilities of the industry.

From June 23 to 25, the finals of each league will take place at the Esports center of the Campus del videojuego. For Clash Royale, the finals will feature a system of promotion and relegation. In addition, each league will have a winner who will receive a cash prize; and the honor of being recognized as the tournament’s best player.

For both leagues, participants can join if they are over 14 years old. However, if the winners are under 18, they must present authorization from their legal representatives to receive the financial reward.
