The second day of the third week of the Spring Split is history, and several teams have already sealed their ticket to the Group Stage, including Fnatic who looks unstoppable at this point. On the other hand, MAD Lions, Team Heretics, and EXCEL will play for the last place in the Group Stage this Monday, March 27.

There is no doubt that day after day, we see how the LEC teams continue to increase their level of play. However, it is worth mentioning the Split that MAD Lions is playing because after being runners-up in the Winter Split, they will have to play for their lives on the last day of the regular phase to get the qualification.

On the other hand, we can highlight Fnatic took the victory in the European classic against G2 Esports and thus confirms its perfect moment. Finally, KOI, Team Vitality, and SK Gaming secured their place for the next phase of this Spring Split.

Astralis extends EXCEL Esports’ agony

There is no doubt that the two Splits that have been played so far (Winter and Spring) have been disappointing for EXCEL Esports. Therefore, although they still have a chance to qualify for the Group Stage, they depend on other results to do so.

Astralis was in charge of starting the penultimate day of the LEC Spring Split 2023 with an excellent victory over EXCEL Esports that put them on the ropes. However, there is no doubt that it was a resounding victory thanks to the actions of Doğukan “113” Balcı, who had a 6/1/6 record with Viego.

With this victory for Astralis, Team Vitality secured their qualification to the Group Stage no matter what happened in their match.

Team Vitality leaves Heretics in check

The Spaniards of Team Heretics continue to be on a tightrope, and now they have to play for it on the last day of the group stage after losing to Team Vitality in Sunday’s match.

Elias “Upset” Lipp continued to demonstrate his current excellent level in this LEC Spring Split and finished with a record of 11/1/6 playing with Zeri and as the match’s MVP. Although Team Vitality was already qualified, this victory helped them climb to the top of the table, and they now have a 5-3 record. Heretics, meanwhile, will play for their lives this Monday, March 27, against SK Gaming.

MAD Lions beats SK and stays alive in the Spring Split

MAD Lions managed to get the third victory of the Split and are still alive in the race for the last place in the Group Stage of the LEC Spring Split.

The lions won the third victory of the Split with a very convincing performance against SK Gaming. Now, to avoid complicating their lives, Javier “Elyoya” Prades’ team needs a victory to secure their pass to the next phase. Otherwise, they would be at the expense of other statistics to do so.

Once again, MAD Lions’ aggressiveness was accompanied by a solid execution of the Spanish jungler. The result was a crucial victory that helped the team get out of the bottom of the standings.

Team BDS continues to surprise and beats KOI to secure a top-two finish

KOI lost to Team BDS on owner Ibai Llanos’ birthday but still managed to punch their ticket to the group stage. The purple team could not stop Team DBS, which continues to be the tournament’s surprise; they are among the best teams right now. Juš “Crownie” Marušič completely controlled the match and led Team BDS to victory in this match.

KOI secures their pass to the Group Stage thanks to the defeat of Team Heretics so that they will go into the last match of the regular phase with relative peace of mind.

Fnatic takes victory in the European Classic

By defeating G2 Esports in the classic, Fnatic continues its winning streak and reaffirms that they want to return to being that team that has dominated the LEC in history. The orange team continues to rise in the LEC this spring, and their victory in the historic LEC derby deals a major blow to the competition. Oscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz had an incredible performance to help Fnatic defeat G2 in the classic.

With the help of Oscarinin and the other Spanish player, Ivan “Razork” Martin, who stole a key from Nashor Baron, Fnatic categorically and surprisingly defeated G2. The orange team won four games in a row to extend its winning streak and advance to the next round of the LEC.
