French esports organization, Vitality, has announced its new all-women League of Legends team, Rising Bees, on January 5th, 2024. The team is the second female roster in the history of the club and is expected to make a strong impact on the competitive scene. The team is composed of five talented players, including Velouria “Viki” Baty, Madison “CrowMac” Coutelet, Agné “Karina” Ivaškevičiūtė, Alena “TIFA” Maurer, and Victoria “Indifferent” de la Torre Serna.

“Plus internationale, plus compétitive”

The new roster is expected to be more international and more competitive than its predecessor, the French Bees. The team is composed of players from different regions, including France, Lithuania, Germany, and Spain. The team’s CEO, Fabien “Neo” Devide, expressed his satisfaction with the new team’s composition, saying, “We enter this second phase with the Rising Bees: more international, more competitive. We have managed to find original, combative, and complementary profiles.”

Velouria “Viki” Baty, the only player who remained from the previous roster, will retain her position as ADC and captain of the team. Madison “CrowMac” Coutelet, a French player, will play on the top lane. Agné “Karina” Ivaškevičiūtė, a Lithuanian player, will play in the jungle. Alena “TIFA” Maurer, a German player, will play in the mid lane. Finally, Victoria “Indifferent” de la Torre Serna, a Spanish player, will play as support.

The team’s coach, Valentin “OneForOne” Ho-Coui-Youn, and manager, Olivier “NephaleM” Morizet, will continue to lead the team.

The team is expected to be a strong contender in the upcoming 2024 League of Legends women’s circuit. The team’s players have already made a name for themselves in the competitive scene, with some of them being considered the best in their respective roles in Europe. For instance, CrowMac won the 3rd and 4th Qualifier of the Equal Esports Cup (EEC) in 2023 with BIG Chroma and led her team to the final of the event, where they lost to SK Gaming Avarosa. Karina, on the other hand, is considered the best female jungler in Europe and helped GO Aurora win the Star Cup in November. TIFA, a veteran player, has been active in the competitive scene since 2015 and had an excellent season with G2 Hel in 2023. Finally, Indifferent is considered the most daring bet of Vitality, as she did not have many opportunities to showcase her skills with KOI Amethyst in the previous season.
