The schedule for the Rumble Stage of the ongoing Mid-Season Invitational 2022 has been released. The six-team, double round-robin League of Legends battle begins on May 20 and concludes on May 24.

Each of the five days will feature six best-of-one matches. At the end of the stage, the top four teams progress to a single-elimination knockout.

T1 versus G2 to start Rumble Stage

Day one of the Rumble Stage begins with a must-watch match as Korean champions T1 take on European champions G2. There are many layers to this matchup, including an unforgettable mid lane duel between Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Rasmus “caPs” Winther.

However, it will also be the battle of win streaks. T1 achieved a perfect split in the LCK, winning 20 consecutive best-of-three series before going 6-0 in their MSI group. G2 are riding a 20-game win streak, having swept four playoff series in the LEC before winning their MSI group 8-0. G2 also face defending MSI champions RNG later on day one.

NA vs. EU; Korea vs. China on day two

Day two opens with a Group Stage rematch between G2 and North American champions Evil Geniuses. Drawn into the same group in the prior stage, G2 dominated their LCS opponents, winning all four matches played. Evil Geniuses, sporting a roster full of young, ambitious talent, will be eager to exact some revenge.

However, the marquee matchup on day two will be the showdown between RNG and T1. Both teams are looking for their record-breaking third MSI title and their matches could be the results that decide the rumble stage winner.

Final day drama

The last day of the Rumble Stage concludes with a pair of important matches. In the penultimate fixture, Evil Geniuses and G2 face off once more before RNG and T1 rematch in the last event of the day. If the stage goes as many believe, with RNG and T1 pulling ahead of the rest of the pack, this could be the match that decides the stage winner.

A lot can, and likely will, happen over the course of those five days. The action begins at 9:00am BST/10:00am CEST on Friday, May 20.
