The news around the British organization Into The Breach continues, and this time, we have news regarding the team’s technical direction, as they have announced the signing of Martin “trace” Heldt as the new Head Coach of their CS:GO lineup.

We all expected the news of ITB’s new Head Coach in the last hours, as the team needs to start preparing for the upcoming events and, especially, for the transition to CS2. On the other hand, it also became known that ITB discharged Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar in the last hours for inappropriate behavior, so one of the revelation teams of this CS:GO season is on the tightrope.

Into The Breach announce the signing of trace as new Head Coach

Through a post on its official Twitter account, Into The Breach announced that trace, the former Head Coach of Astralis, will be the team’s new coach. In the announcement, we can see that ITB refers to that trace arrives to put everything in order, help the synergy of the lineup, and above all, help prepare for the imminent transition to CS2.

The 33-year-old coach arrives at ITB to fill the vacancy left by Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre a few days ago, who decided to step away from the competition to take a break.

As we mentioned, ITB is on a tightrope, as they are going through an extremely complicated moment as they only have four players on the roster. Also, considering the impressive run in the Paris Major, it surprised many that the organization let go of its two main stars, Cai “CYPHER” Watson and Sebastian “volt” Maloș.

However, ITB signed Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar and Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras to replace their two players. Still, NEOFRAG was not even with the team for a month, as he was terminated for different attitudes that did not align with the organization’s bylaws. Moreover, if we add to this the fact that Juve, their long-time coach, jumped ship, we have the team in a very complicated situation.

Ex-Astralis arrives to bring order to ITB

There is no doubt that trace, with his experience at Astralis for eight months, maybe the missing piece in this team to make it come together perfectly. However, trace coached Astralis and has experience with other Danish outfits.

Marvin “Punico” Matthes, the head of CS:GO at ITB, said that trace is an ideal signing for this team, as his player and Head Coach experience will fit perfectly in the organization. In addition, he also said that they have nothing against Juve, as they consider him a spectacular Head Coach, but the experience is not the same due to age issues.

For now, we can only wait for ITB to officially announce their fifth player and start preparing for the next events and, of course, for the transition to CS2.
