Into the Breach drop NEOFRAG

The news around one of the revelation teams of the 2023 CS:GO season, Into The Breach, continues, and, this time, we have the organization announce that they are dropping Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar immediately from their lineup.

This is somewhat unexpected news, considering that the team had performed well with NEOFRAG in their lineup. However, the official statement references some toxic comments by the Czech rifler, which do not align with the organization’s standards.

With this move, Into The Breach shows a firm hand with the members of their lineup, and, no doubt, it is a plus point in the fight against toxic people in esports.

After just a few weeks with the team, Into The Breach announced that they are terminating NEOFRAG for “comments and perspectives displayed,” i.e., inappropriate conduct.

In the statement, we note that ITB claims that the expectations as an organization are very clear and require everyone to meet them perfectly. In addition, it is also mentioned that there were different infractions to the morals and rules of the organization, something that they cannot let pass unnoticed.

As mentioned, this news comes less than a month after ITB announced the signing of NEOFRAG and Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras. Recall that this move at the time was to replace Sebastian “volt” Maloș and Cai “CYPHER” Wilson, who left the team after an outstanding performance at the Paris Major.

Following this news, there were many rumors about an old clip of NEOFRAG when he played for SINNERs. At that time, according to the community, the Czech rifler used a very racist insult.

However, NEOFRAG’s departure from ITB has nothing to do with this clip, as Sam Macedonio, the organization’s CEO, fully confirmed it.

Macedonio says in the Post that NEOFRAG’s dismissal is for recent behavior and that the clip had nothing to do with the decision, which was very complicated.

ITB’s future

ITB’s future is somewhat complicated now, as they are playing two major CCT tournaments with a prize pool of $200,000. However, it is also worth noting that the team did not perform well at the IEM Cologne 2023, as they lost to NiP and TheMongolz to be eliminated in the Play-In Phase.

ITB’s future is unclear; we still do not know who will replace NEO to finish the CCT online tournaments. We will have to wait for official information from the organization, as they may sign a replacement for a limited time or a player to replace NEOFRAG in the team’s starting lineup permanently.
