A well-known face in the League of Legends competitive scene is back. Former TSM toplaner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon returns from his retirement from the professional scene, but now as a caster for Riot Games in LCK 2023.

In addition, it has been confirmed that he will be part of the official broadcasting team of the LCK in its 2023 season after the LCK Global YouTube channel announced it. The video is titled “Reborn Caster” and was a cute clip created by the LCK team, which is a parody of the Korean drama “Reborn Rich.”

As we see, Do-Huni is the main character of this drama. According to the story, the player is reincarnated as the son of the rich family that killed him before the rebirth. The characters and all the performances are very similar to the original Korean drama. This has been a resounding success in this country.

Abou Huni

Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon is one of the most important and charismatic players to have passed through the League of Legends competitive scene. He is also one of the most experienced players the league has ever had, as his beginnings date back to 2014.

Huni started as an apprentice in the Samsung Galaxy organization. But soon after, he became one of the main referents of esports in the western world. Mainly when he played under the Fnatic banner, which led them to win the first perfect split in history. Shortly after, he became part of Immortals.

In 2017, Huni decided to return to SK Telecom T1. Then they made a brilliant run in the season and finished in second place at Worlds. However, after three years with the team, Huni had a performance slump that we had never seen in his career. This made him decide to spend his remaining years fighting in the LCS.

TSM

Although he made the TSM roster, Huni could not help the team get much higher than mid-table. In the North American organization, Huni stayed until last season after suffering a slew of injuries to his wrist. This caused him to lose his tenure with TSM, and he decided that this was the end of his career.

In the video announcing the player’s retirement, Huni mentioned that he would not be wholly separated from the League of Legends competitive scene. Unfortunately, he gave no hints of what was to come. But now, we have him as one of the prominent commentators for the 2023 LCK season.

We’re sure Huni’s experience is entirely enough to give that commentary team an extra edge. Not every day can you count on someone who is successful in the professional scene and willing to share all his knowledge with everyone.
