One of the most popular organizations in the CS:GO scene, GODSENT, has decided to return to the Counter-Strike scene with an all-Swedish lineup ahead of the imminent release of CS2.

This is the second time this year that GODSENT has announced a lineup full of Swedish players, and it’s no wonder since, let’s remember, Swedish players dominated the scene for several years. As a result, GODSENT is again betting on this fully regional lineup to try to climb to the top of the Counter-Strike competitive scene.

First, we should mention that we are pleasantly surprised by the return of Maikil “Golden” Selim to the Counter-Strike competitive scene. In addition, we also have the addition of two very young but talented players and a new Head Coach.

GODSENT announce new Swedish Counter-Strike lineup

As mentioned, GODSENT continues to blindly bet on a purely Swedish lineup as they look to climb to the top of the CS:GO competitive scene. As a result, the organization announced its new lineup with Golden as the main striker, accompanied by Erik “ztr” Gustafsson and Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora.

In addition to Golden’s addition, Johan “Hype” Engblom and Jonatan “bobeksde” Persson also make their arrival to the organization alongside Head Coach Kevin “Kevve” Bohlin. In addition, this move marks Golden’s return to a Counter-Strike starting lineup since April 2022.

About the new players

First, let’s start with Golden, the experienced IGL who shined with Fnatic and Cloud9 for much of his career as Head Coach of GODSENT from January to August 2023. However, now he returns to the servers, but as a starting player of the team.

On the other hand, Bobedske and Hype come from playing in the Swedish team 00 Prospects, where they won several important trophies at lower levels, and Hype was one of the main pillars of the team’s success.

While Bobedske has also shown a great ability to open up the sites, there is no doubt that Hype is one of the leading scorers in this new GODSENT lineup, as he has an impressive 1.15 Rating over the past year. However, this rookie pair has only played one game against a team in the TOP 5 of the world rankings.

The rest of the team

Finally, we have ztr and Plopski, two players who, despite still being very young, have some experience playing at the top competitive level of CS:GO. Recall that these players were part of that NiP lineup that played at Tier 1 in the previous season.

In addition, it is also worth mentioning that Plopski and ztr are the only players who survived the GODSENT squad renewal that started last June, as it seems they will stay for the transition to CS2.

We can only wait to see what the level and pace of play of this new GODSENT lineup will be, as we all hope to see this team back at the top of the competitive scene.
