The reigning Valorant Game Changers champion G2 Gozen has acquired Vivian “roxi” Schilling from its longtime rivals to fill the void left by former in-game leader Julia “Juliano” Kiran.

With the acquisition of Vivian “roxi” Schilling from Guild Esports today, G2 Gozen now has a fully-fledged Valorant roster heading into the new season. In addition to defending their title, the team will attempt to build on the success they had in the 2022 season.

G2 Gozen became the first-ever VCT Game Changers Champion earlier in November 2022 after a nail-biting victory in the championship match against Shopify Rebellion of North America. After a rollercoaster ride in the final series, G2 prevailed 3-2 with a reverse sweep, turning a 0-2 deficit into a victory to win the Game Changers trophy.

The move comes after former G2 Gozen captain Julia “Juliano” Kiran left the team to lead G2 Esport’s new women’s CS:GO initiative G2 Oya. Filling in the big shoes, Roxi spent most of her time playing the Sentinel role for Guild X, contributing significantly to the team’s success in 2022.

Roxi is one of the most adaptable Sentinel players in Valorant thanks to her ability to perform as a team player and her composed nature under tight situations. With her superior mechanical abilities, she has become an invincible player who can stomp across the map and defeat multiple enemies.

From rivals to teammates, roxi traveled a long road to arrive at G2

As one of the most ferocious and consistent female Valorant teams in the EMEA region, Guild X has earned a massive fan base throughout their journey in VCT events.

The squad created history the previous year when they defeated their historic rival G2 Gozen in the VCT Game Changers EMEA Series 3 final. After trailing 1-2 in the best-of-five series, Guild made a phenomenal comeback to win 3-2 and clinch the Game Changers championship for the first time.

It was a significant victory for Guild, who had twice come close to winning the VCT Game Changers in 2022 but lost to G2 Gozen both times, finishing second in both the Game Changers EMEA Series 1 and 2. Guild X not only finally exacted revenge on G2, but they also denied G2 Gozen their third VCT Game Changers title in a row.

It would be interesting to see how the storied rivalry between Guild X and G2 develops in the coming season now that Guild’s exceptional Sentinel player roxi will be playing against them.
