G2 Esports and Warner Bros. reveal DC Comics collab

G2 has teamed up with Warner Bros. in a special collaboration for MSI 2023. The samurai have revealed they will be sporting a design in collaboration with the DC Universe during the first international competition.

We are now less than a week from the start of the new edition of the Mid-Season Invitational. The first champions of the 2023 League of Legends season will be gathered during this great event.

A few days ago, we knew all the details about the MSI. The official anthem of the event was revealed, as well as the champions not participating in this year’s MSI.

On the other hand, Riot Games announced which matches will take place in the tournament’s first phase and which teams will fight for the prize pool. Best of all, Riot increased the prize pool for the participating teams.

The tournament organizers have everything ready. They are just waiting for the MSI to start and for the great teams to give the whole community of LoL fans exciting battles. At the moment, the only thing missing is for the thirteen teams to arrive in London to know their first set-ups and, why not, some special equipment for the occasion. This has been the case with G2 Esports, who presented a special jersey to compete during the MSI.

G2 Esports, the team that won the LEC Winter Split title, will begin their journey at this year’s MSI Play-Ins. As such, G2 has unveiled a limited edition Jersey with which the Samurai will face all MSI opponents to celebrate their important participation in the tournament.

The new line of shirts is called “Prestige,” a collaboration between G2 Esports and Warner Brothers, focusing only on important competitions. So it is rumored that in addition to this special MSI jersey, the team may have another special jersey for Worlds 2023.

The “Joker” jersey is already on sale at the official G2 store, where all team fans can purchase it for €85. However, it is important to note that shipments of the jerseys will begin on May 9.

Warner Brothers’ vice president of consumer products, Stefan Hausberg, commented that this G2 collaboration is very exciting. Hausberg states that DC’s superheroes are a perfect fit with the heroes of G2 Esports.

On the other hand, Hausberg adds that they expect the launch of The Joker Jersey to be amazing.

It is important to note that this partnership between G2 Esports and Warner Brothers is limited to their LoL team and goes beyond that. So G2, in a press release, announced that after this shirt for the MSI will come one for the CS:GO team for the last Major in Paris.
