Since leaving the LCS, Ovilee May, one of the funniest and most charismatic interviewers on the broadcast team, has been missed. However, as most people expected, she will not return to the LCS scene.

Ovilee May returns to the League Championship Series (LCS), but not in the way you think

Ovilee May is one of the best-known names among LCS broadcasters. Unfortunately, Ovilee decided to leave the LCS broadcast team in June 2020, and the community has been missing her ever since. She is now back in the LCS, though not in her previous roles as an analyst, reporter, or interviewer. Instead, she will now be the leading content creator for the U.S. team FlyQuest.

The content producer has posted a new video on Twitter to announce her return to the LCS, which features a roller coaster of emotions. The video starts with relaxing music, and we can see Ovilee talking about her experiences as a member of the LCS broadcast. Then comes the fun part, where we see her riding a bee. Unfortunately, they collide with the FlyQuest logo, and then we see the bulk of the film.

In this central section, she states that she has joined FlyQuest as the new chief content creator heading into the 2023 LCS Spring Split. However, even she says that, now that she has joined FlyQuest, she can offer a new range of fresh content. She also comments that she will bring LCS-style content that LCS fans will love to the league.

Then in the video, Ovilee tries to make a pun on the bees and the noises they make at the end of the announcement video. Then a giant bee appears in a jump scare.

About Ovilee May

Ovilee May began her career in esports as a social media manager for Team Liquid. Later, around January 2017, she started working for Yahoo! Sports as an interviewer and content creator, although the position lasted until June 2017.

After that, she started working as a broadcast host for Riot Games and conducted interviews and analyses. Since then, she has been part of the LCS broadcast team. Her upbeat attitude and humor helped her gain a following in the area. Thanks to this, she built a fan base that continues to support her content. However, before the start of the 2020 Summer Split, she declared that she would no longer be part of the LCS broadcast.

She would later settle in numerous places, including a temporary guest hosting position in the Overwatch League and a more stable position at G4 as Indiana “Froskurinn” Black’s co-host on the Bleep Esports Show.

Ovilee, on the other hand, also contributed to creating fun material for Liquid during the 2021 World Championship. She and LCS announcers Raz and CaptainFlowers did a parody of Lil Nas X’s hit song Industry Baby by Lil Nas X with a Worlds theme.

However, she has finally revisited the LCS after more than three years. This time Ovilee is participating in the LCS as the leading content creator for the FlyQuest pro squadron.
