FFXIV is getting its first official tournament series

The first official tournament series for FFXIV is called Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship 2023. It can be said that the regional term in the name of the tournaments indicates that the competitions are coming to different regions of the world. This tournament series will be held in Japan, North America, Europe, and Oceania.

However, it appears that there will not be a global competition, simply that each region will crown a team as the best in that area.

When will the Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship be held?

The tournament competitions will be held at the same time as the Fan Festival in each region. However, North America is the first region to start the tournament, as this year’s FFXIV Fan Festival will take place in Las Vegas.

All players in North America interested in participating have until Sunday, April 7, to register their teams. It is important to note that players on all teams must be citizens of Canada, Mexico, or the United States. Thirty-two teams will compete for the championship title in the North American edition.

If the number of registered teams exceeds the 32 available places, Square Enix will use the previous season to decide which teams can participate.

However, the tournament preliminaries will be held on June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18. The best teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be held on June 17 and 18. However, the top teams in each group earn a place in the semifinals and finals, which are held live on July 29.

Prize purse

The team crowned champion in this tournament gets each $ 22,500 plus a trophy, But that’s not all. They also get a title and an achievement in the game.

The teams that finish from 4th to 8th position get a title and an in-game achievement.

Undoubtedly, seeing all the teams competing and fighting for the top prize will be very exciting.
