The CS Asia Championship 2023 is getting increasingly interesting, as all the matches are intense and exciting. The last result was FaZe Clan’s excellent 2-1 win over MOUZ to secure their place in the tournament’s semifinals.
There is no doubt that we were expecting a very interesting match, and the teams did not disappoint. Both FaZe and MOUZ left everything in every round, every move, every map, to take the victory. However, the FaZe Clan guys showed why they are currently at the top of the CS2 world ranking, according to HLTV.
On the other hand, we can’t overlook the fact that MOUZ also played great. However, they couldn’t take advantage of the victory in the first map to seal the victory in this series.
Let’s see what happened in the MOUZ and FaZe Clan match for the CS Asia Championship 2023 Group B Winners Match.
FaZe Clan apply a reverse sweep against MOUZ
There is no doubt that these two teams come into this tournament with the tag of favorites to, at the very least, fight in the final stages. FaZe Clan came from an extremely close match against NiP defined in 53 rounds (28-25). Meanwhile, MOUZ had more time to rest, as in addition to playing the first match of the day, they took a violent 13-2 victory over Wings Up.
However, both teams gave their all in this series, and we, the spectators, were the ones who enjoyed the most.
The series between FaZe and MOUZ took place at Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass.
Mirage
It all started at Mirage, MOUZ’s map pick, where both squads started with doubts in the first half, but Dorian “xertioN” Berman finally led MOUZ to a 9-3 partial victory.
Then, at the change of sides, FaZe Clan woke up and tried to get back into the game thanks to an impressive collective play on the T Side. However, their comeback attempt fell short, and they conceded by 11-13.

Nuke
In the second map, Nuke, things began to change radically. However, the first half remained the same as the first half on Mirage, as Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás and David “frozen” Čerňanský commanded the MOUZ defense to take a partial 8-4 victory on their CT Side.
However, this time, FaZe Clan’s comeback did come through, as Finn “karrigan” Andersen and Robin “ropz” Kool woke up to lead FaZe to win 9 consecutive rounds to take the 13-8 victory. As a result, the series was tied 1-1, and we went to the third map.

Overpass
Finally, the teams moved to the Decider Map, Overpass, where we had an extremely intense game from start to finish.
In the first half, FaZe’s defense made some mistakes that did not allow them to capitalize on their CT Side. As a result, the first half ended with a score of 6-6.
Then, at the change of sides, FaZe’s offense, commanded by Håvard “rain” Nygaard, karrigan, and ropz, managed to win 7 of 9 rounds to take the map victory by 13-8. FaZe Clan advances directly to the CS Asia Championship 2023 semifinals thanks to this victory.
