One of the most renowned esports award ceremonies, the Esports Awards 2023, has announced its nominees for 15 categories including Esports Creative Team of the Year and Esports Personality of the Year.

The award event, which will be held in Las Vegas for the second consecutive time, aims to honor the best performers in the esports industry across different roles. This year, there will be 31 different awards given out in categories like content, coverage, games, casters, streamers, and more. Taking place at Resorts World Las Vegas, the event will be broadcast live across all major and linear platforms from Zouk, Las Vegas’ most technologically advanced venue.

Esports Awards 2023 Schedule:

  • Voting opens: July 26
  • Announcement of nominees revealed: September 20
  • Turbo voting period(votes are worth double): 13th to 20th November
  • Voting closes on all categories except Esports PC Player, Esports Organization, and Esports Team of the Year: November 20
  • Voting closes for all categories: November 25
  • Inaugural Scholars: 27th to 28th November
  • Esports Awards 2023: 29th to 30th November

Laymen have submitted nominees for all 15 categories, while industry experts and experts hand-pick the finalists from the list. For the award night, a combination of the public vote and the panel’s judgment will be taken into account when deciding who gets the award. There are still a few months before the Esports Awards, but the initial set of finalists for 15 categories has been announced and more will be revealed later. 

Esports Awards 2023 finalists:

The Esports Awards features several intriguing categories, including Creative Team of the Year, Streamer of the Year, Esports Personality of the Year, and Esports Player of the Year. Interestingly, Seth “Scump” Abner, the 2017 World Champion and  X Games gold medalist has received nominations in three categories, the most number of nominations so far. The Esports Creative Team of the Year nominations include powerhouse teams like LOUD, FlyQuest, Team Vitality, G2 Esports, and Sentinels, making it difficult for the jury to select a winner.

Being the sole representative of India for the Global Esports Awards 2023, the Indian gaming behemoth S8UL Esports and its co-founder Naman ” Mortal” Mathur will once again hoist the Indian flag on the international stage. S8UL Esports has been nominated in the category of Esports Content Creator of the Year, while Mortal has been nominated in the category of Esports Personality of the Year.
