Eyla to join Evil Geniuses for LCS Summer Split

Rumors continue to swirl about some of the moves we will have in the LCS teams for the Summer Split. In addition, many of these reports include a team, Evil Geniuses, and this is no exception. According to different information published, Evil Geniuses would agree with Bill “Eyla” Nguyen as the team’s starting Support for the Summer Split.

EG has to make these movements because, as we reported in the past days, the team decided to eliminate four of its players from the roster. In addition, this is a result of the poor results of the organization in the Spring Split, where they announced that they would make drastic changes to improve their situation this season.

Reports indicate that Eyla would be the new Support of Evil Geniuses

According to popular LoL journalist and researcher Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger, Eyla, current FlyQuest Support, has an agreement to join Evil Geniuses for the LCS Summer Split.

LEC Wooloo published this report on May 9 and indicated that Eyla would be the new signing of Evil Geniuses in the position of Support for the Summer Split. Recall that a few days ago, it was reported that FlyQuest would have an agreement with Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme, one of the four players who left EG’s lineup.

About Eyla

Eyla failed to show his full potential in the LCS Spring Split that ended a few weeks ago, as in addition to many problems with his visa to enter the country, he had worrying performances. FlyQuest had to play with Kim “Winsome” Dong-keon at the beginning of the season due to Eyla’s visa problems. However, the player finally sorted out the problems in week five and entered the starting lineup.

The 23-year-old Australian player became the team’s Starting Support for the rest of the Spring Split, but due to his poor performance, he was replaced again by Winsome in the last series against Golden Guardians. In the end, FlyQuest practically threw away their outstanding season and allowed Golden Guardians to grab one of the MSI slots.

Eyla failed to shine as FlyQuest, and the player himself would have wished. However, he had some decent stats for many, as he had a K/D/A of 3.7 and 90 assists in the games he played.

We can only wait for FlyQuest and Evil Geniuses to announce their moves for the Summer Split officially. But, on the other hand, the organizations can take some time since the LCS Summer Split will start on June 1, 2023.
